Ryann planned the BEST birthday ever for me and was SO thoughtful in finding me an SMU cornhole set so I can tailgate in the backyard. It was a day full of surprises and treats and I felt so loved!! - Adam

Ok this is one of the coolest dates in Dallas. Years and years ago I went to this Shakespeare in the Park event for my internship, and it's really the best time! You sit on a grassy hill, can bring your own food/drink, and enjoy a really fun Shakespeare play outdoors. I've kept this as a future date idea in my backpocket since 2014 and finally got to use it. I picked Ryann up for a mystery date, we got dinner from Central Market, and then I drove her to this play (King Lear)! We absolutely have plans to do it again in 2024 :) - Adam

This is a really special photo to me. I love my brother Isaac and took the day off work to go see him run a high school cross-country race. Many years ago (2010), I ran cross-country at this same high school and Isaac was about 2 years old. There's an old picture of my dad carrying Isaac as a baby while they cheer me on at my very first race. So many years later I get to show up to HIS race and see Isaac running for the same team! Ryann was so gracious to come out and cheer Isaac on with me. She loves my family really well. - Adam I remember watching Adam running with Isaac cheering him on (me carrying my Starbies trying to keep up) and thinking, he is going to be a phenomenal dad one day! -Ryann

Ok this is super-nerd stuff so prepare yourself. Those who really know me, know that I LOVE a good strategy game. I just can't help it. I have always wanted to play since I was a kid. My dad would let me watch and play all kinds of games with him. As the years went by I slowly started winning the occasional game and then started winning most the time to my dad's mixed emotions of frustration & pride & competitiveness. These days I play a Star Wars miniatures game that requires painting little figures. Ryann SO graciously descended down to my nerd level and painted her first figure with me - and it looked so good!! - Adam

*Opens Christmas Gift* Adam: "WE ARE GOING TO THE CARIBBEAN???" Ryann: "No no Adam, we are taking a Caribbean cooking class!!" Such a fun date night - highly recommend! -Ryann

Ryann's parents came to town and we got to "recreate" our first date with them! We went out to an excellent dinner, and then caught an improv comedy show at 4-day weekend in Dallas! It's a clean, improvised comedy show where we all got some good laughs. One poor fellow on the front row got ROASTED for saying he had been dating his girlfriend for something like 6 years. Everyone (except for the guy) thought he shoulda put a ring on it by then and it was the funniest part of the evening to me. - Adam

Family Ski Trip! A whole week with my family skiing and Adam just fit right on in. This was such a special trip to me because it was fun seeing my family and Adam getting along and enjoying each other so much!! - Ryann

After the proposal, I had a reservation set up for Sundown at Granada brunch. Because I know Ryann LOVES her people, I remember getting to head off any concern she had that someone wouldn't be there. As we finished up at the proposal site, I remember telling her "hey, everyone's here. Nobody's missing. There's some very excited people waiting to have brunch with you." -Adam

This is THE MOMENT I got to ask Ryann to marry me!!! It was thunderstorming heavily that morning but I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. All of our friends and family did SO much work behind the scenes to make this special moment happen. Honestly the rain made it so Ryann had zero clue it was happening that morning. The look on her face when I showed up to her car door with an umbrella is my most precious memory from that day. I watched as she went from confused to understanding what was happening... and I immediately started crying. Just remembering this morning makes me so dang happy!!! -Adam The most precious moment.
