When is the best time to book flights for the cheapest airfare in 2023? - The Points Guy
Traveling to Paris / Recommended Accommodations:
Traveling to and from Paris
· US legacy mainline carriers (American, Delta and United) plus Air France (code shares with Delta) all fly nonstop from their main US gateways to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG).
· Many travel advisors suggest the best time to purchase international tickets is about 6 months prior to departure. Point to point non-stop service is usually the most expensive - ATL-CDG on Delta. Sometimes fares can be as much as half the non-stop fare by flying a legacy carrier from another legacy Carrie’s hub. For example, instead of ATL-CDG with Delta nonstop, look at United ATL to IAD (Washington Dulles), connecting to CDG. The same works for AA connecting in PHL or other AA hub cities.
Arrival & Departure Paris CDG
· United arrives and departs CDG Terminal 1
· American arrives and departs CDG Terminal 2B
· Delta arrives and departs CDG Terminal 2E (Air France gates)
Getting from CDG to central Paris
· From Terminal 1- You can easily get from Charles de Gaulle Terminal 1 to Paris by taking an RER B train. RER trains are regional express services that run every 10 minutes between the airport and the city center and stop at the main stations in Paris, including Paris Gare du Nord. The journey lasts approximately 30 minutes. https://www.about-paris.com/trains-to-paris-from-cdg-terminal-1.html
· From Terminal 2 - The quickest way to get from Aéroport CDG - Terminal 2B-2D to Terminal 2E is to towncar via Terminal 2E which costs €7 - €10 and takes 2 min. Getting round Paris - The Paris METRO / RER / BUS
Use Google maps to guide you - it is very accurate.

· The Bus – more than 60-day routes and 40-night routes – very convenient for short distances and connecting METRO or RER stations.
· Passe NAVIGO – if you plan to use Paris public transport (METRO / RER / BUS as your primary means of transportation – the PASSE NAVIGO is a must. It is available for purchase any day of the week but expires at midnight each Sunday. Passe Navigo is available at the CDG RER Station and all other city METRO and RER stations. You will need a passport picture and photo ID for your initial purchase. (There is photo booths at the CDG ticket office). The 7-day pass is currently €35.
