Our Wedding

Our story begins at a hotel in Columbus - not the most glamorous setting, but definitely where the magic started. We met as coworkers, became fast friends and bonded over the joys of hospitality life (think: caffeine fueled shifts and plenty of guest stories). Eventually, Shane moved back to Cincinnati and left the hotel, but we stayed close - and before long, he was making weekend trips back to Columbus, which may or may not have had less to do with the city and more to do with Addie ( and her big, lovable Olde English Bulldog, William Harvey).Shane and William Harvey were instant buddies - a duo bonded by snacks, couch time and general stubborn charm. William was there from the very beginning of our story, and though he's no longer with us, he'll always hold a huge place in our hearts. We know he'd be snoring loudly through the ceremony if he could be there.Eventually, Shane returned back to Columbus (and yes, even back to the hotel), and that's when things really took off. Since then, we've moved to Saint Louis, Missouri for Adeline's law school adventure and now call Mountain View, California home.These days, we love spending time with our dogs, laughing too hard at Taskmaster, getting way too competitive during board game nights with friends, and cheering on Ohio State football every fall - GO BUCKS!It's been a journey full of cross-country moves, dog cuddles, game days and lots of love - and we're so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.

CAN I PARK AT THE VENUE? Yes. You can also take the free in-town bus to the Vail Golf &amp; Nordic Club (Clubhouse) stop.There is a shuttle for guests staying at Vail Racquet Club at 3:15 PM.

FREE IN-TOWN BUS SCHEDULE Getting around Vail is easy. The town is very walkable and has a complementary in-town bus that goes between resort villages and to a few key places like the market. WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HIGH ALTITUDE? Vail, CO is located at about 8022 feet about sea level (Denver is a 5280 feet above sea level)! ACCLIMATING: We recommend taking it slow if this your first time. Your lungs need about 2 weeks to fully adjust to high altitude - take it easy with exercise while here! ALCOHOL: Alcohol will have a stronger affect on you at higher altitude. In general, 1 alcoholic beverage at high altitude is equivalent to ~3 alcoholic beverages at sea level. We recommend drinking 2 glasses of water, per glass of alcohol to help adjust to this. Additionally, sources do recommend increasing your water consumption 1 month prior to going to your high altitude destination, again to help with acclimating. DEHYDRATION: Dehydration occurs faster at altitude. Additionally, Colorado is a desert, meaning that the atmosphere is dry and can lean to dehydration a bit faster as well. Moral of the story: drink a lot more water while in Colorado! SUN EXPOSURE: High altitude terrain brings you significantly closer to the sun. This applies to both Denver and the Rocky Mountain region. Be sure to apply chapstick and sunscreen regularly, if outside for long periods of time.&nbsp;

You can book flights from your city of origin to either Denver International Airport (DIA) or the Eagle-Vail Airport (EGE) to get into Colorado.&nbsp; Denver International Airport is approximately 2 hours east of Vail and is a large airport with the most amenities for travelers. Eagle-Vail Airport is approximately 30-40 minutes from Vail and is a smaller regional airport that serves commercial commuter aircraft and privately owned planes. Once in either airport, you will need ground transportation to Vail. Select an airport shuttle service or rent a car for ground transportation to Vail. Although ride shares could be used, they will be very expensive. Shuttle services are the easiest way to get into Vail, however some guests might prefer to rent a car and drive. The drive is very beautiful, however keep in mind the weather in January can be tricky, you will need AWD for traction laws, and hotels charge for parking. The average cost between $40-$80 a day for overnight parking.&nbsp;&nbsp; Once in Vail, the town has a complementary in-town bus service that can take you almost everywhere you need. Vail is very used to out-of-town travelers and local staff are friendly and helpful.&nbsp;

How To Get To Vail

We are getting married during peak ski season in Vail and highly recommend getting your accommodations booked as early as possible for the best availability and rates. Vail is separated into two villages Vail Village and Lionshead Village. Both has a complementary <a href="https://www.vail.gov/government/departments/transportation-services/bus-information/bus-schedule-winter" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">in-town bus</a> service throughout the town.
