It was the first week of college our freshman year at Samford when we first met. We happened to have the same foundations class together and we even got put in the same group for a project. It was the perfect excuse to get her number and put it in my phone. After meeting each other, we continued to talk over the phone and I finally asked her if she wanted to meet up from lunch. We grabbed some food and sat outside on campus. It was a beautiful day and after that I knew she was the one.

Later that year, Adlie asked me to one of her sorority functions. Little did we know that we would become each other’s forever dates. Even with the covid restrictions that year, we had such a good time together and it was already feeling like we had known each other for a long time. Later on, I invited her to come with me to bonfire that my fraternity was hosting and she decided to be my date. The bonfire first turned out to be a flop, but we ended up finding ourselves hanging out afterwards and we had such a great night together. After that and more time getting to know each other, I eventually asked her to be my girlfriend. The rest is history!

It has been almost four years since the day we started dating and I wouldn’t change a thing. It would be impossible to sit here and share every wonderful moment we’ve had, but we are excited to keep making memories like this for the rest of our lives. We are each others best friends and we are so excited to take this next step together!
