It started with two over worked, over zealous public defenders. The bedrock of their relationship was the strong friendship Adriana & Steven forged in the fires of the Louisville Metro Public Defender's Office. The two continued to bond until their first date in September 2022. Fun fact: Adriana was the one who asked Steven out on the date. This forever cemented Steven's status as being Adriana's special lady.

As much as they loved their careers in public defense, the two started to prioritize building a life together. They spent every moment together and went on adventures out of state to see some of their favorite musicians. Quickly the two became inseparable.

Adriana and Steven took a giant leap forward and moved in together!

Due to an impromptu decision to purchase Beyonce ticket, it was discovered that Steven can kill the romper look. This discovery is only second to the taming of fire, Pablo Picasso creating Guernica, and that time when Adriana found $50 in her old winter coat.

The couple's training and hard work paid off as they completed the Tough Mudder Challenge. Adriana learned that she was impervious to electroshocks.

Adriana & Steven visited the St. Louis Zoo. Their first priority was to let everyone know they had completed the ToughMudder via their stylish head bands.

Adriana & Steven have a date night at Activate Games in Louisville. Scholars have determined that this is a "canon event". They have not stopped talking about how much they love Activate Games since this date.

The pair take their first international trip together on a cruise to the Bahamas!

The couple began working with the Bluegrass Pug Rescue in their spare time. Due to their involvement, they ended up rescuing their first foster pug - Millie!

Despite no longer working in the same counties, the two still found ways to visit each other & support each other at their new workplaces!

As they became more involved with the Bluegrass Pug Rescue, Adriana & Steven welcomed their second rescue (Darla) into their home!

Adriana surprised Steven by proposing to him in the middle of a karaoke song. Fun fact: Steven can not listen to "Question" by the Old 97's without getting emotional as a result of this perfect proposal.

Steven proposed to Adriana at Carmichaels Bookstore with a book he made about the two of them as sloths going on an adventure.

The two began planning their happily ever after!
