Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is the closest airport (2hrs), HOWEVER, the “safest” airport with potential road conditions is Spokane (GEG) which is 3hs away. There IS ANOTHER OPTION TO GET TO LEAVENWORTH!! (Both Seattle and Spokane have direct trains to Leavenworth for about $50)

Short answer: NO! There is a direct train from both Seattle AND Spokane into Leavenworth! Taxi/Uber in Leavenworth is available, and it’s a $2 ride from station to downtown.
