It’s the perfect place for a relaxing walk or sunset by the water. You can catch a performance at the John W. Engeman Theater, a beloved local theater that hosts Broadway-style productions year-round.
Northfork Wineries

If you have extra time during your visit, we highly recommend taking a day trip “Out East” to Long Island’s beautiful North Fork Wine Country. About an hour from Northport, this area is known for its scenic vineyards, charming farm stands, and relaxed coastal atmosphere. Spend the afternoon visiting a few local wineries, enjoying tastings, and taking in the beautiful countryside views. Along the way, you’ll also pass plenty of farm stands where you can pick up fresh fruit, homemade pies, and other local treats. We especially recommend stopping at Briermere Farms for their famous homemade pies.
Port Jefferson Village

We recommend taking a trip to Port Jefferson, a charming harbor town about 35 minutes from Northport. Known for its scenic waterfront, shops, and restaurants, it’s a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon.
Take a stroll through the village where you’ll find local boutiques, cafés, and ice cream shops. Walk down to the harbor to enjoy beautiful views of the boats and the Long Island Sound. For lunch or dinner, there are plenty of great waterfront restaurants where you can sit outside and enjoy the view.
Nyc
If you have extra time during your visit, we highly recommend taking a trip into New York City! From Long Island, you can easily take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) into Manhattan for the day. Once you arrive, you’ll find endless things to see and do — from iconic landmarks and world-class museums to incredible restaurants, shopping, and Broadway shows. Take a walk through Central Park, visit Times Square, explore neighborhoods like SoHo or the West Village, or simply wander the city and enjoy the energy.
Montauk
