Alex and Aiste's story began in 2016 when they met for the first time in high school. They were introduced by their mutual friend Marina during lunch and they clicked instantly. From that moment on, they were inseparable. Whether it was hanging out at each other’s gatherings or laughing together in class, they loved spending time with one another and remained close, even as life moved forward.

In 2020, during the truly unforgettable year of graduating high school in a pandemic, they parted ways for college. Alex moved to Omaha, Nebraska to study Psychology at Creighton University, while Aiste stayed in Colorado to pursue her degree in Interior Design at Arapahoe Community College.

Countless FaceTime calls, shared stories, and inside jokes kept them close. Then, in the middle of 2021, something shifted. What had always been fun suddenly felt electric, jokes landed a little harder, laughter lingered a little longer, and the attraction between Alex and Aiste began to grow. Their connection deepened, and on October 13, 2021, during a visit to a haunted house, Aiste casually said to Alex, “I wouldn’t mind dating you.” It turned out to be the least spooky and most life-changing moment of the night.

And just like that, the cliché came true.

They started dating long-distance, keeping their connection strong through video calls, text messages, and all the little ways two people show they care. Even when Alex studied abroad in Italy for six months (hello, 5,000 miles apart), they made it work.

After three years together, Alex proposed to Aiste in 2024 in a private and romantic apartment in Denver. Now, they’re continuing their college studies and planning a wedding for June 6, 2026, where friends and family will come together to celebrate the love story that began as a friendship and became so much more.
