It all began in the fall of 2015 during our second year of university. We would casually run into each other in class and in the computer lab where we spent long hours working on our seemingly endless assignments together. We quickly hit it off and took things up a notch by adding each other on Facebook!

Our friendship expanded beyond the classroom as we found ourselves working a co-op term together in the summer of 2016. We often took walks during our lunch time to play Pokemon Go or to grab coffee. During this time, we discovered a shared love for Red Lobster, Japanese food, and The Office. We leveled up once again as we developed a deep bond as best friends. We were simpatico, you might say.

In the summer of 2018, life led us down different paths after we graduated university. Akanksha moved to British Columbia, while Ahmad remained in Kitchener. Staying close despite the distance wasn’t really a challenge. Ahmad’s work trips to the west coast? We can say some of them weren’t strictly necessary. As for Akanksha’s spontaneous visits, homesickness wasn’t the only reason.

In the fall of 2021, Akanksha moved back to Ontario and we decided to take our relationship to the next level. Fast forward three years, to the date, we’re about to tie the knot! Through thick and thin, we have always stood by each other, proving that no matter what life throws our way, we're a team and we're in it together. Afterall, we are partners in crime.
