What is the dress code for Out of the Blue?
Per venue guidelines, guests are required to dress semi-formal
Are children allowed at Mike and Alana's celebration at Out of the Blue?
Because of restrictions at the venue and the active marina next door, the ceremony and celebration is for adults 21 and up only. Our family would be happy to help find suitable local childcare upon request. We love your kids, and want to keep them safe!
What does "unplugged ceremony" mean?
We want everyone to be able to enjoy our beautiful ceremony on the water, so we made sure to hire a professional photographer and videographer to capture the memory in high definition. We don't want to see your cellphone instead of your face! We will be happy to share the photos and videos from our special day when the pros provide us with the final product they worked so hard on. We are happy to take group photos at the conclusion of the ceremony.
What is the weather going to be like in January in Jupiter, FL?
Florida is hands down the best place to spend the winter. With highs averaging at 75 and lows in the mid 50's, there will be no parkas needed! Pack your shorts and t shirts and be prepared for warmer weather than at home!
Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
No need to hop in the car after the ceremony, both take place at the same venue! The ceremony will take place outside (weather permitting) along with the cocktail hour. After cocktail hour the party will move indoors for dinner and dancing! If weather decides to not be in our favor the entire event will be hosted indoors.
What should I do if I can't make it?
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. UPDATE: Online RSVP is now closed. If it is past December 15th, you can only RSVP via text to Ana Lozada at (561)339-2956
What time should I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive at 5:15PM, 15 minutes before the ceremony, to assure that everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
Where should guests park? Is parking free?
Parking is free for guests at Out of the Blue. We have a private parking lot for the event. When entering Jonathan's Landing, you must pass through a guard gate where security will direct you to the venue.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend we stay?
There are a very wide variety of hotels in many different price points, amenities, etc. in the Jupiter area. For this reason we chose to not provide a room block with any hotels to allow our guests more freedom to choose where they stay. We have 4 hotel recommendations under the 'Travel" tab on this website for you to explore, but there are so many in the area that you can be sure to find something within your budget or style! There are also a ton of VRBO's and Air B&B's if hotels aren't your style or if you'd rather have a condo to yourself/family for your vacation!
Will food and drink be served at your celebration? What kind of food?
The service staff will be passing hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour immediately after the ceremony. After the cocktail hour ends, we will move indoors for the plated dinner, starting with warm bread service with butter whipped in house. An entre of either Mahi Mahi or chicken will be served with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted mixed seasonal vegetables. After dinner an array of assorted desserts will be passed around by the service staff. If you or a family member requires a dietary restriction, please do not hesitate to reach out to us! The chef will make something delicious to accommodate your needs!
Can I take and post pictures from the celebration on social media?
Yes! We highly encourage our guests to take pictures at the reception and share them! Please keep in mind that we will be having an unplugged ceremony and would love for our guests to enjoy it without their phones.
