Alana Lozada and Michael DiMartino met during the winter of 2019 on the dating app meant to be deleted, Hinge. Mike was the first person Alana met through the app. Although this was Alana’s first time meeting someone on Hinge, Mike insists that “we matched on Bumble, but you never answered my message.” After texting for a few weeks, Mike and Alana met for a first date one cold January night at Jack Jack’s Coffee House in Babylon, New York. They had such great conversation that they moved onto The Brixton where they stayed until 2am getting to know each other. The two were virtually inseparable from that moment on. Although Covid-19 did throw a wrench in things, causing Alana to move back to Florida for about 6 months after being furloughed, the love persisted through the distance. They realized how special their connection was, and after Alana returned to New York, they moved in together. During the summer of 2020, Mike applied to transfer from the NYPD to Irving, Texas. After months of hard work and studying, he accomplished his goal of being accepted to a highly regarded department that goes through months of rigorous training and careful selection to only hire the best of the best. They moved to Dallas in January of 2021, after a long 24-hour drive. He completed DFW’s regional academy in August of 2021, and completed Irving's academy in October 2021. After Mike got the job in Texas, and moving Winnie and Alana there, he chose to propose to her on January 18th, alone together in the evening under pretty lights by a pond. Alana was over the moon and made quick work of contacting all of her family and friends to let them know the good news. In May, Mike and Alana decided it was time for Winnie to become a big sister. They adopted their young boy Gino from a chihuahua rescue in Dallas-Fort Worth. He's the sweetest dog and an expert snuggler. Mike and Alana feel very blessed to have found Gino and are looking forward to the coming years with him by our side. He loves to come on vacation with them to Florida to visit his grandparents (Ana and Chris Lozada) as well as his best friend Layla. The family sadly lost sweet Winnie in June of 2022 after a long battle with canine dementia, and miss her dearly every day Alana has continued her career in the customer service industry. She is currently bartending, and selling vintage and antique goods on the side through Etsy. ❤️❤️❤️ We chose to elope on July 11th, 2021 in a private ceremony at Grapevine Botanical Gardens in our home state of Texas. This was a very difficult decision to make, as being surrounded by family and friends would have been so much fun. We came to this decision after much deliberation, and figured that the most important part was our love for each other. We are so excited that the time has finally come for us to celebrate our love with the ones we love most! We hope you'll love Jupiter as much as we do, and turn it into a relaxing vacation or getaway for yourself and your family! Things To Do In  and Around Jupiter

Mike and Alana love to fish with Captain Bill! Mike caught a beautiful (and tasty) Red Grouper last trip. Please be sure to bring cash to tip the mate, they will clean your fish for you to take home if you wish.

During the cooler months, West Indian Manatees collect near this power plant to keep warm. They can easily be seen from the observation decks.

The beach is so close! There are many beaches to explore in Palm Beach County, with all in Jupiter being free to enter. There is even a dog-friendly beach, Gino approved!

The Palm Beach Zoo is a great place to see some beautiful animals kept in state-of-the-art enclosures. It was one of Alana's favorite places to visit when she was a kid!

If you've ever wanted to try paddle boarding, kayaking, or even water yoga, Blueline is a great little local spot to rent equipment for a day in the intercoastal waterways. Be sure to stop by Guanabana's after for a drink!

No matter your skill level, anyone can snorkel or dive at Phil Foster park. It's a great place to see manatees, rays, and every kind of tropical fish you can imagine! Be sure to pay attention to the tides and advice from the gear rental shops nearby for the best spots and time for visibility for the day.

There are a variety of public golf courses in Palm Beach County. A favorite, located in Jupiter, is Abacoa Golf Club. This course also offers lessons for those who would like to learn, and 18 holes. They have one of the finest professional public golf courses in the area!

Things to Do

Megan and Alana go way back; They were in the same kindergarten class and have been inseparable since age 4! Although they live far apart, their friendship has always persisted through the distance. Megan loves Harry Styles (and attending his concerts), her sparkly boots, and the salad dressing from Krishna Lunch in Gainesville, FL. Megan is a newly appointed lawyer after years of hard work! She is traveling all the way from Oregon to be by Alana's side at the end of the aisle.
