Our Wedding

Kurt and Alanna met the very first day of Alanna's new job at Eanes ISD when she moved to Austin, Texas in August of 2014. Kurt was working as the trumpet teacher for the middle school&nbsp;summer camp week, and Alanna was newly hired as the assistant band director at West&nbsp;Ridge Middle School. As they saw each other regularly at school, their friendship grew through the years.&nbsp;Early in 2018, Alanna's interest in Kurt changed. Both performed in the Westlake High School musical in February, and their friends could see something was different. Unknowingly, Kurt went out on their first date at the end of that week to Red's Front Porch.&nbsp;Their relationship and feelings for each other grew quickly. After a few months, both knew that this relationship was something special. Their first year together flew by- highlighted by&nbsp;family reunions, their first vacation together, Thanksgiving in Louisiana, and Christmas together in Austin.&nbsp;Kurt proposed to Alanna in April of 2019. That day he was working a baseball game for the Longhorn Network and had the assistance of his coworkers for planning&nbsp;the details of the evening. After enjoying a nice dinner at Eddie V's, the couple returned to the house and Kurt offered Alanna a glass of wine on the back patio. The lights in the trees were lit as were a number of candles spread around the patio and yard. As Alanna sat and waited for Kurt to return with his drink, Riley popped out of the back door wearing a fancy black bow tie. That was the moment that she knew. Kurt followed Riley out the door, got down on his knee, and proposed in their favorite place to relax together.&nbsp;

Our Story

Covid-19 Information

We have decided to move forward as planned with our wedding scheduled on June 20th! This decision was difficult to make, but we feel that with the precautions in place by the wedding venue and vendors, in addition to the health trends here in Texas,&nbsp;&nbsp;we can safely host our wedding. Please know that we understand completely that some will be unable to travel or attend due to health concerns. We love you all and hope that you will be able to make an attendance&nbsp;decision that is best for you and your family.&nbsp; Health accommodations:The Wedding Venue is completely outdoors and does not have any restrictions on hosting our number of guests.&nbsp;The Wedding Ceremony site will arrange rows further apart front to back with plenty of extra seating. Guests will be encouraged to space themselves out by household.&nbsp;The Wedding Reception will have extra tables set up 6' apart with 6-10 people per table.&nbsp;The Caterers will be wearing gloves and masks and will serve each plate as the guests move through the buffet line.&nbsp;The Bartenders will be using disposable "one-use" cups.&nbsp;Masks are encouraged for those with high risk health concerns, but will not be required of all guests.&nbsp; If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to Alanna: 337-739-7091.&nbsp;Updated: May 23, 2020
