Alese and Michael met in Charlotte, North Carolina back in June, 2018 from a dating app. Alese had just moved from her hometown in Texas to pursue a career as a flight attendant for American Airlines. That first date took place at Southbound Taco where Alese, was testing Michael, and asked if it was ok for her to pray for their tacos and margs and he agreed. They spent the entire evening chatting and laughing until Michael dropped her off without any indication of another date. Little did she know that after that evening Michael had thought to himself he might have just met the one!!

So a few weeks later when Alese was in Cuba with some friends, Michael texted asking if she would like to go on a second date. Alese jumped at the chance. For the second date Alese and Michael sat on the same side of the booth and looked lovingly in each other’s eyes over pasta. They knew from that moment this was something special. A few months later Michael asked Alese to be his girlfriend officially in the Bahamas. For the next few years the couple got to explore the world together, including visiting Italy, where they fell in love with the country and the beautiful city of Florence for the first time.

Then a few months later the coronavirus hit and Alese took a leave from being a flight attendant and moved in with Michael temporarily in Charlotte. The couple did their best to make the most of the situation. When things calmed down some Alese moved back to Texas and convinced Michael to take a big leap. He moved to a new city Dallas, Texas with Alese and they both got new jobs. The couple got to spend quality time with Alese’s family and after a very special family ski trip, Alese’s dad got to tell Michael how much he loved him before passing away that following year.

Michael supported Alese through the hard time and the couple grew even stronger. They continued to live in Dallas for the next few years enjoying time with friends and family and traveling again to places like Mexico, Greece, Spain, and Italy of course.

Then after 6 years of dating Michael very adamantly convinced Alese that they must travel to Japan in the spring of 2024. The couple had an incredible time learning about the culture and eating delicious food there. Later, during a special photoshoot Michael had set up there, he got down on one knee and proposed to Alese. Alese of course accepted! Since Japan the couple moved back to Charlotte and have been planning the wedding and getting excited to celebrate their love with all of their loved ones together in Florence, Italy.
