Alex Ann and Ben first met during the fall semester of their freshman year at Belmont University. Though they shared a few classes, it was in their University Singers choir class that they began to truly notice each other. Their connection began during the filming of Christmas at Belmont in 2019. During a dinner break, Ben took a seat next to Alex Ann—and from that moment on, the two were inseparable. 	As fall turned to spring, their friendship blossomed into something more. In early January, Ben asked Alex Ann out on what would become their first official date: a dinner followed by a walk through the Christmas lights at the Opryland Hotel. Just days later, on January 18th, they began dating officially. 	From that day forward, they’ve shared life side by side—cheering each other on through triumphs, standing strong through challenges, and building a life filled with love and support. Exactly five years later, on January 18th, 2025, their journey came full circle. In the very same gazebo where they danced on that first date, Ben got down on one knee and asked Alex Ann to spend forever with him.

We invite guests to wear cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or suits with dress shirts (ties optional). Although the majority of the wedding celebration will be inside, late September in Louisville typically has warm days and cooler evenings, so seasonally appropriate fabrics and light layers are recommended.

Our wedding weekend is also shared with one of the biggest music festivals Louisville has to offer, Bourbon and Beyond. In addition to amazing music, this means that hotel rates will be higher and there will be less availability throughout the city. Please book early and utilize the room blocks below for accommodations in the St. Matthews and Jeffersontown areas.
