Alex and Kassie met on January 6th 2017 in a bar called Canvas a mere 3 days after Alex moved to Albuquerque. He was tall, she needed a drink - it was a classic meet cute! That said - she had no intention of settling down given she already had plans to move to Phoenix shortly for 2 years of grad school.

It was never meant to last but it quickly became clear they would rather spend countless hours on the highway driving back and forth between Albuquerque and Phoenix, than risk losing one another.

They made it work and then jumped head first from long distance into sharing an apartment in Denver. Almost a year later, and with a little help from tequila, Alex convinced Kassie that they should purchase their first house together. He could not see himself being in love with anyone else (Ryan Reynolds naturally excluded) and they found a house they could call home in July 2020.

Today they live there with their girls Maze and Zia - a dog and cat who mostly ignore one another but constantly keep Alex and Kassie on their toes.

It took some planning but, on a hiking trip for Memorial Day weekend a little over a year ago, Alex found the perfect time and place to propose to the love of his life (Kassie… not Ryan Reynolds…).

They now find themselves getting ready to share their special day with those they love the most. They hope you’ll be able to join them to celebrate their love and, of course, party!
