LAX has the most flight options but the longest drive.Rideshare from LAX to the valley are possible but very expensive.

Driving Directions to Solvang/Buellton:Take I-5 North from Burbank.Merge onto US-101 North toward Ventura/Santa Barbara.Continue on the 101 until you reach the valley.For Buellton: exit Avenue of the Flags.For Solvang: exit CA-246 East. BUR is small, easy to navigate, and a great option for Southwest and Alaska flyers.

Typical Drive Time: 35–45 minutes Rent a Car: Convenient rental pickup right next to baggage claim. Driving Directions to Solvang/Buellton:Take US-101 North out of Santa Barbara.Stay on the 101 as it curves inland.For Buellton: exit Avenue of the Flags.For Solvang: exit CA-246 East. SBA is the closest and easiest airport — a great option if you prefer not to travel through Los Angeles.You will most likely arrive via a connecting flight, though there are a few nonstop routes (including Denver).Rideshare to Solvang/Buellton are usually available, but prices vary.
