When and where is the Wedding?

Our wedding is on October 5th, 2024 at the Rough and Ready Vineyards in Rough and Ready CA. It's an outdoor venue, with plenty of natural shade. Address: 17860 Cattle Dr, Rough and Ready, CA 95975.

What time is the wedding?

The Ceremony is planned to begin at 5 PM. Please expect to arrive early between 4:15PM-4:30 PM so we can begin on time. If you can't join the ceremony, cocktail hour begins at 5:30 PM-6:30 PM and the Reception begins at 6:30 PM.

Where do I park?

The venue will have a designated parking attendant to assist with guiding you to the parking lot. There is limited parking near the guest house, but if spaces are taken, there's an open grassfield lot to the right of the venue entrance. Carpooling is encouraged but not necessary. If you have limited mobility, the venue provides golf cart transportation and has disability parking near the Red Guest House (Limited and is First come, first serve basis). If you need golf cart transportation, please inform the bride and groom ASAP.

Is there assigned seating for the ceremony and reception?

Yes and no! The immediate family and wedding party have frontsies privileges for the ceremony in the first two rows. But if you are not family, it is open seating starting at the 3rd row. For the reception, we have designated seating for the wedding party and family but it's open seating for everyone else. The circular tables are free-for-all. Sit with friends or someone you don't know and get to know them!

What should I wear?

Drip as defined by urban dictionary: very swag and cool, drip, drippy, dripping can be used to describe an outfit/accessory, person, song, etc. Dress to impress! It's a wedding so you gotta look your best! Drip is required (not really but it's encouraged) You can wear anything semi-formal to formal, clean, or that looks really elegant (suits, suspenders, bow ties, dress pants, skirts, dresses etc). It's an outdoor venue, so wear comfy shoes that are good for walking through bark, grass, and dirt. BRING A SWEATER OR JACKET. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU’RE COLD! Obviously don't forget about your personal hygiene, shower, put some perfume or cologne, deodorant, lotion, etc.

What's the bathroom situation?

The bathrooms are next to the big red guest house separately. They have two gender-fluid bathrooms fully stocked and ready to use.

What's the food situation?

Catering will be provided by Villalobos Tacos from 6:45 PM-9 PM. They will provide Tacos (Carne Asada, Chicken, and Al-Pastor), Quesadillas (Vegetarian friendly), Mexican Rice, Pinto Beans, Chips, 3 options for salsa, garnishes, and two large pitchers of Horchata. Sodas (Jarritos, Coke, and water) will be provided as well. During the cocktail hour from 5 PM - 6PM, finger foods such as cheese, crackers, fruit, etc will be provided. Please be courteous and dispose all food in the barrel garbage cans!

Is smoking/vaping allowed?

There will be a designated smoking and vaping area for our guests away from the reception area. Marijuana is NOT allowed on the premises, including marijuana vapes. Please do not bring or sneak those in because we can get in trouble and lose our deposit or they will shut down the wedding.

Will alcohol be provided and can I bring alcohol?

We will provide beer and seltzers for all attendants (Modelo and White Claws). Do not bring any hard liquor or try to sneak anything in. If you are caught, we could get our wedding shut down and lose our security deposit. Please do not make this a problem or else.

I'm planning on drinking, is there somewhere I can stay if I get too faded?

If you plan to drink a lot of beer or seltzers and cannot drive, please have a designated driver to take you home or locate a nearby hotel by the venue to stay at. You are allowed to leave your car at the venue overnight if needed but would need to be picked up no later than 11 AM the following day. The closest hotels will be in Auburn and grass valley since the venue is kinda in the middle of nowhere. Please look at our Travel section to locate a hotel near the venue. We want everyone to have a good time and not get into any accidents after leaving, so please plan ahead with some friends, be safe, or just drink moderately.

Can I bring my kids?

We don't want any of our parents to struggle with finding babysitters or not being able to come to look after your kids. You can bring your kids, but please let the bride and groom know ahead of time, if you plan to bring your kids so we can include them in the count for food. Please note that we may play some not-so-kid-friendly music!

Can I bring a friend or plus one with me?

This is an invitation-only wedding but if you're invited and want to bring a plus one, just run it by the bride and groom first please.

Are pets allowed on-site?

While the venue does allow animals on the property, the bride and groom respectfully ask that you do not bring any animals to the wedding and plan to have a pet sitter if possible.

Can we give song requests to the DJ?

Yes you can! We want this to be fun for everyone. We will provide the DJ a list of "Do not Play" songs, so if your song request is on the list or he doesn't have it available, it may be rejected, but feel free to ask the DJ!

Can I take videos and photos?

During the ceremony, we ask that you put away your cellphones, turn them on silent, and please do not take any photos or videos during the ceremony. Our photographer will be taking plenty to share with everyone later. After the ceremony, the wedding party, family, and close friends, will be taking photos together with the photographer. At the reception you can go ahead and take photos and videos all you want but just be on the lookout for our photographer and be courteous to him too.

Are there any activities or games that we can expect?

The venue will provide giant jenga and a cornhole game. There will be time to dance the night away and show your moves on the dance floor, including a couple of group dances too hehe.

Do you have a registry or can I bring gifts?

We have a honeymoon fund instead of a regular wedding gift registry so you guys can help us have a good time on our honeymoon to Disneyland. You can donate whatever you would have wanted to spend on a gift for us, anything helps and we truly appreciate it! Although, we won't say no to gifts if you bring any on the day too hehe.

I have a question that can't be answered by the Q+A, who can I talk to about my question?

If you have a question or concern, please reach out to the bride and groom asap and we'd be happy to help out!
