Doug & I met in 2015 at our old job called North Shack. We started off as co-workers but without a doubt, became good friends! Our friendship grew & we started to spend time together & talk everyday. Each time we spent together, we felt happy & comfortable- like we knew we were in the right place! When my mom had passed away September 2016, Doug drove up to my house where we had a night drive to make me feel nurtured & I knew he would be one of my big supporters. This was also the start of our nightly long drives where we would talk, vent, joke around, play music, etc. Doug also came to my mom's funeral to show his support & how much he cares. Our friendship was starting to turn into movie nights at my house with pizza & late night sleepovers. Our first movie together was The Other Guys. My feelings for him were really starting around this time & I knew that eventually I would want to be in a relationship. We even had our first date at Alibis Pizza Restaurant in Troy & our first kiss at my house both in December 2016. January 7th, 2017 was when Doug & I started our relationship & have been together for 8 years since!


In June of 2023, Doug & I planned a fun week trip to Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. Our trip included staying in Marquette, MI. We enjoyed the beautiful & natural sights of the Great Lakes, Pictured Rocks, Presque Isle park, Oswald's bear ranch, Dead River Falls, Laughing Whitefish Falls, & Tahquamenon Falls. Presque Isle Park was the location that stood out the most! Doug & I were getting ready to take a picture when he got down on one knee to propose to me!!! I was so excited that I said "Eeep!" But I definitely said yes & we were both so excited! The weather was so beautiful! The sunshine & Lake Superior did their job making the scenery & the magic come to life! Doug & I have been so excited to plan our magical wedding night!


Doug & I share a bit of the same interests! Our favorite food is pizza, s'mores, chicken nuggets, & steak! Our favorite animals are pandas, penguins, sea otters, seals, kittens, etc. We love to listen to music, relax & watch TV/movies. Both of our favorite shows are New Girl, South Park & Hell's Kitchen. We enjoy baking delicious treats such as s'mores, cookies & brownies! We also love to go out to fun places such as the Detroit Zoo, walks around parks, cider mills, & our Sundays always include an ice cream trip! However, all couples do share different interests! Doug enjoys listening/watching Formula 1 racing & Vikings while I enjoy watching my favorite sitcoms such as Friends & Golden Girls! He enjoys fettucine alfredo while I'd rather have spaghetti marinara. His favorite snack includes peanut butter & M&M's while I'm snacking on saltine crackers and chips & salsa! He enjoys building Legos while I'm coloring in my adult coloring books & taking up the kitchen table with my puzzles 😂Although we have some differences, we enjoy every moment together & we are looking forward to being married, starting a family & spending the rest of our lives together! We love each other so much & enjoy our adorable, loving, goofy, fun, & caring relationship! Looking forward to our forever! 💖
