What is Garden Party Dress Code?
A garden party dress code suggests some level of formality, without needing to break out a tux or gown... suggested is a knee-length or midi dress, a jumpsuit, or long pants with a button down. Think cheerful when it comes to color and don't be afraid to incorporate some florals into your look, like a printed dress or patterned tie or pocket square.
Garden party implies you'll be walking on grass. A block heel or wedge of some sort will keep you from sinking into the ground. The ceremony is outside, and July in Washington is notoriously hot.
Are my children invited?
As much as we love everyone's children, our venue has limited space. Additionally, our venue is a working farm, and because of that there are additional hoops to jump through. We respectfully ask that your children remain behind unless an invite has been extended to them.
Are We Allowed to Take Pictures / Videos During the Ceremony?
We will be having an "UNPLUGGED" ceremony. This just means that we are respectfully asking that all phones, cameras, and devices are put away and silenced. We have hired professionals to capture this moment and would hate for someone's device/camera/phone to block that. We also would like our guest to be fully present with us at the ceremony. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos/videos as you'd like! We promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them.
