Welcome to Seattle

Suppose you are coming from out of the area. In that case, we recommend flying into SeaTac airport, renting a car, driving to the ferry, and ferrying you and your vehicle across to Bainbridge Island and the surrounding area. The ferry ride is beautiful but can be unreliable.

OR

You can drive South, through Tacoma, and then North over the Tacoma Narrows Bridge onto the Great Peninsula. This drive is typically about an hour and 15 minutes without traffic.

Ferries

Please research the ferries and travel options and stay up-to-date on the ferry schedule for your travel days. The ferries can cause serious heartache, and you might sit in the hot holding lot much longer than anticipated.

We recommend downloading the WSDOT app to your phones or visiting the website.

Colman Dock

801 Alaskan Wy, Seattle, WA 98104, USA

Seattle - Bainbridge Island ferries are notoriously late, delayed, and packed in the summer. It is best to familiarize yourself with the WSDOT app. Here, you can find primarily up-to-date ferry information. Be aware that if you are driving on, you must enter through the toll booth, which costs $20 or more per car + any additional people. To walk on, it costs $9/pp (on your return, walking on Bainbridge - Seattle is free)

We recommend expecting to miss your first ferry choice. (& celebrating if you make it!!)

(Alternatively, the Bremerton bound ferry will take you to the west side of the Sound as well, but you will still need to drive North from there.)

Edmonds Ferry Terminal

Edmonds Way, Edmonds, WA 98020, USA

The Edmonds - Kingston ferry is a great alternative if the Seattle - Bainbridge ferry is several hours or more wait.

This ferry will drop you in Kingston, near the wedding venue.

or you can drive around!
