Their First Date: Having been introduced by their mutual friend and spending almost four months ignoring each other at NBB but texting back and forth 24/7 the two finally decided to take the jump and go out. Neither of them were certain that it was in fact a date when they arrived, but it was chemistry right from the jump. They took the risk despite swirling rumors of Covid, but as it turns out, going to see a Sunday matinee of The Invisible Man is the most Covid friendly activity available as they were 2 of the 8 people in the entire AMC theater. While joking about it over some food at Buffalo Wild Wings they sat in the booth and their phones started to go off with closing announcements of gyms, schools, stores, and any public gatherings. They ended the "date" not sure where the future would take them in the weeks and months to come.

Officially Official: Three months of quarantine have gone by and the two have taken walks, had outdoor park picnics, "skyped" (because that was a thing for a while), and thoroughly enjoyed ALL of Waltham's outdoor dining options. Once people started emerging from their homes to slowly resume some form of summer normalcy, they did the same. Now, nobody expected Adam to meet Alex's entire family at a socially distanced pre-school graduation parade, but you do the best you can with what you have. Before getting out of the car to meet everyone Adam turned to Alex and said "how are you going to introduce me?" to which Alex replied "well how do you want to me introduced?" Adam said with a smile on his face "well, I'd like to be introduced as your boyfriend." Alex happily agreed and the two exited the car for their first moments of being officially official.

The Next Steps: Fast forward about 8 months from the officially official, and about 4 months from the first "I love you" the two were driving home from a Valentine's Day dinner. Adam told Alex he was ready to ready to move in together. Despite having just signed new leases with their friends they agreed to start looking at the beginning of the next year. So they did the only thing any sane couple would do, they searched Zillow for available apartments within a one mile radius of Nolan Bros Boxing. They found THE perfect home, and by perfect home they mean a place that was less than a half mile from the gym and allowed pets. It was way more space than they needed, but they knew one thing - it was a place they could grow into for many years to come.

The Moment: 2023 didn't start very well; with Adam breaking his back and Alex having lost two close family members to cancer within five months - everyone needed that vibe boost. It was the final day of Alex's annual family vacation to Cape Cod - this being a truly difficult first trip for everyone without her grandmother and uncle. After the final sunset of the trip Adam dropped to one knee at Alex's grandmothers favorite spot in the entire world and asked if she would be his sparring partner for life, to which Alex replied "duhhh of course!"

The New Addition: First comes marriage, then comes the baby carriage? Well, not necessarily. After months of back and forth they finally decided to add a little chaos to the mix. And so, Mickey McFarland the lionhead bunny entered the chat. Weighing a whopping 3 pounds and 3 ounces he was the perfect little addition to their already chaotic family.

It's A Girl: Welp, for every little one that enters our lives comes a little (or sometimes big) sibling to keep them company. On February 17th the pair added another fuzzy bundle of joy to their family. Little Meeko with a BIG personality was adopted from Westford and she immediately began her reign of terror at her new forever home. Alex and Adam we're not prepared for the level of sass and chaos that was about to enter their lives.
