How do I RSVP?
When the time comes, we've made the process as easy as possible, we will have an RSVP page on the website that will take care of everything. All you have to do is type in the name as it is spelled on the envelope of your invitation and it will ask you a handful of questions regarding your RSVP status, dietary restrictions, etc. From there you'll get an email with your event reminder.
Where will the ceremony take place?
The best part about this celebration is that everything will take place at the same venue. We will have the ceremony in Borsari's stone garden and then move the party to their outdoor patio and balcony. If we have bad weather, Borsari is prepared to have the ceremony indoors in their stunning wine cellar.
What time should I arrive?
We will be having the ceremony at 5 pm at the venue in their beautiful stone garden, so we ask guests to arrive no earlier than 4:15 and later than 4:45 so we can start things on time. If you are late we may ask you to remain standing in the back of the ceremony so you don't collide with anyone walking down the isle!
Can I bring a date? Or my kids?
As much as we'd love to literally pack the house. Our cozy venue requires us to cap the guest count so things don't get too crazy. With that being said your invitation envelope is addressed with the names of the invitees in your party. If your envelope doesn't say "and guest" we'd ask that you do not bring a date and find a sitter for your little ones.
Attire suggestions?
Semi-formal wedding attire is the way to go. For the ladies, a cocktail dress or pantsuit will be perfect. For the gentlemen, slacks or khakis and a dress shirt, no jacket required. We just ask that you don't wear shorts or denim, don't ask us why - it just seems like an obvious request. Keep in mind that the festivities will be in the Cape at night and the temperatures will drop, although with the dance floor we think the temperature will be juuuuust fine.
For anyone looking for our color palate, our bridesmaids will be wearing a shade of maroon and the groomsmen will be wearing navy.
What will parking be like?
Parking at Borsari is EXTREMELY limited, so we ask all of our loved ones to coordinate a group carpool and/or use a rideshare app such as Uber or Lyft if possible. Borsari can only guarantee parking for 45 cars, so it is a big ask for our loved ones near and far to join forces to carpool and use transportation apps if at all possible. These options are preferred especially if you plan to have an adult beverage or two! If you are driving, please park as closely as you can to other cars and do not park directly in front of the gallery (past the black stanchions).
Will it be open bar?
It will be open bar, however the selection will be limited to beer, wine, and soft drinks. Please drink responsibly!
Can I smoke on the venue grounds?
Borsari has a no smoking or vaping policy in the gallery, on the deck, in the wine cellar, or on the patio. There is a designated smoking area on the side of the lawn if needed. Please respect that policy, we could be fined for any smoking violations!
Do you have a wedding registry?
We don't! We're using this celebration as a chance to gather all of our loved ones for one massive party, and to us - that's the gift in itself. Our current home is packed to the brim with bunnies and stuff, so by adding more we may just have to move - and nobody likes to move. We will have a card box at the venue for anyone who would like to leave a card. In lieu of a registry, we will also be opening a web-page on the website for anyone who would like to contribute to our first-home-fund. Meeko and Mickey and tiny human feet (in the future) need all the room they can get, so naturally buying a house is in our next step!
