If we’re being honest…we don’t exactly know when we first met. We’ve known each other through mutual acquaintances for many years and would randomly run into each other at the same events but wouldn’t exchange more than “hi, how are you?”. But that all changed in 2017!

I started working at Springbrook Tavern in Omro, WI in December 2016 while attending The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Neil and his friends liked to hang out at Springbrook which allowed us to get to know each other better. Eventually, Neil asked me out on a date and I said no but after asking me a few more times I accepted his offer and we have been together ever since. Thinking of his determination still makes me smile.

Spring of 2018 I graduated college, we rescued our puppy Riley, and a month later Neil purchased his first home which quickly became our home. We now have added our Corgi Frank to the mix! We have had some pretty spectacular opportunities to travel to Las Vegas, Chicago, The Dominican Republic, Michigan, Nashville and countless concerts together. We have navigated loss of loved ones, watched our friends start their families, pushed each other’s buttons, and survived a PANDEMIC together. Our relationship has succeeded because of our continued support from friends, family, friends that are family, coworkers, and occasionally, alcohol.
