When should I arrive for the ceremony?
The wedding will begin at 4pm. Please arrive by 3:30PM and be seated by 3:45PM.
Will there be a conga line?
Yes
Where do I park for wedding ceremony/reception?
There will be valet parking at The Harris Building.
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The dress code is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Examples: cocktail dresses, and suit/tie and blazer.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
We’re expecting a beautiful Michigan summer. Hoping for temperatures in the 70s/80s, though it could hit 90.
Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
They will both be at the same location. The Harris Building in downtown Grand Rapids. A cocktail hour will also be at that location between Wedding/Reception.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
They will both be indoors.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures for around an hour. Guests can enjoy a cocktail hour with drinks and appetizers on the same floor as the wedding/reception. We will also have an assortment of games.
Are there other wedding events I can attend?
We are having a meet and greet for family and friends who are coming from out of town the night before the wedding. That’s happening Friday August 4th from 9PM - 10PM at the AC Hotel Lounge. We hope you will stop by, say hello and join us for drinks and desert.
What should I do if I can’t make it?
You will absolutely be missed, though if you cant make it to our wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP.
Are kids welcome?
We love all your little ones, but our wedding is going to be an adult only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving your children at home.
Can I bring a date?
The Harris Building only holds so many people so we must stick to a strict guest list. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thanks for your understanding.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP no later than July 1st, but we would appreciate you letting us know ASAP. You can RSVP right here on this website or by mailing back your RSVP card.
May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?
No. If you’d like a souvenir please enjoy our Photo Booth.
Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
We ask no pictures during our ceremony. We have a fantastic photographer and will share those photos soon after. However we encourage photos during the cocktail hour and reception. Please feel free to share those with us and on social media!
If I’m staying at the AC hotel where do I park?
The AC hotel shares parking with the JW Marriot. Parking for the hotel is $24 per night. You’ll want to bring your ticket to the front desk of the AC hotel to pay there. The address for the JW parking is 235 Louis Campau Promenade NW Grand Rapids, MI 49503
