GETTING TO SQUAMISH

BY AIR

We recommend flying into Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in Canada, the closest international airport to Squamish. You could also fly into Seattle International Airport (SEA) if you're interested in a bit of a road trip / a visit to the US prior to the wedding. From the airport in Vancouver, you can choose to either rent a car, or utilise one of the local shuttle companies.

BY CAR

If you are planning to drive yourself, get ready for the drive of a lifetime. Squamish is a short 64 km drive from Vancouver, and the hour long route is one of the most scenic drives in the world.

Driving Distances & Time From:

Downtown Vancouver – 64km / 55 minutes

Vancouver Airport – 81km / 1 hour 20 minutes

Seattle – 295km / 3 hours 45 minutes

Check out Canadian Affair, Discover Cars or Turo for affordable car rental options! Other recommended car rental agencies you can check:

Alamo | Avis | Budget | Hertz | Thrifty

BY SHUTTLE

Getting from Vancouver to Squamish without a car is incredibly easy. Here are a number of ways to get there if you're not driving:

SKYLYNX

Best shuttle option if coming directly from the airport, offering daily services between Squamish & YVR. Find their airport kiosk located at YVR international arrivals area (Level 2). Alternatively, if you're coming from Vancouver Downtown, pick-up points are outside Hyatt Regency Hotel (Melville Street) or the Pacific Central Station. Note that the only drop-off & pick-up point in Squamish is at the Adventure Centre (easily located across the road from Downtown Squamish).

Best to reserve your journey in advance here.

SQUAMISH CONNECTOR

Another great shuttle option that offers one-way & return trips from Vancouver to Squamish & Whistler.

Recommended if you're either:

1. Coming from Downtown Vancouver

(pick-up & drop off from several downtown locations)

2. Wanting a direct drop-off at the Sea to Sky Gondola

3. Going to use this service multiple times. They offer a Connector Pass that gives you 10 massively discounted rides. Bonus that it doesn't expire and is transferable between users.

Find your schedule and book your ride here.

LOCAL CARSHARING

For guests looking to get around town without a traditional rental car, why not consider local carsharing? Squamish has designated parking stalls for two hybrid carshare vehicles in Squamish operated by MODO.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

Two hybrid vehicles, a RAV4 and Prius V, are located at Chieftain Centre (1301 Pemberton Avenue) and Municipal Hall (37955 Second Avenue). Vehicles must be returned to their original designated stalls.

(Note - check eligibility requirements!)
