Colin and Alexa first met on a dating app in June 2021, Colin saw Alexa's profile come up and was immediately in awe of how beautiful she was. He swiped right on her profile, and they began to get to know one another. Surprisingly, they both attended the University of Northern Iowa, but never met each other on campus. They continued to get to know each other better, and Colin eventually asked Alexa out on a date. It went very well, which lead to additional dates.

Both of them began falling more in love with each other each time they were together. Many laughs were shared, and countless memories were made in the two years that they were dating.

On May 6th, 2023 Colin got down on one knee and proposed to Alexa at Wesley Woods Camp and Retreat Center, which was one of her favorite places growing up. She said yes, and the rest was history!
