Since moving to Nashville, we have found that there is no shortage of things to do! We love being tourists in our own city and are so excited to share it with you. See below for some of our go-to recommendations.
You simply cannot visit Nashville and miss Broadway. This iconic strip is lined with bars and is the go-to place to experience live music, while 5th and Broadway has some great shopping and food options. Check out our favorite Honky Tonks while you're there!
Icons: Tootsies, The Stage
Day drinking: Jason Aldeans, Luke's 32 Bridge
Night out: Whiskey Row, Kid Rock's
Just a few blocks from our reception venue and Broadway, The Listening Room is a great place to hear from local songwriters - both new to the scene and with numerous #1s! They have food and drinks during shows, and is definitely worth a visit. Buy your tickets beforehand!
One of music's most iconic stages and former home of the Grand Ole Opry. Whether you're seeing a show or just stopping by for a tour, "Mother Church" is worth a visit. Get your tickets beforehand!
Not into country music? Take a stroll down Printers Alley, just North of Broadway! Skull’s Rainbow Room and Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar are local favorites.
You might also be interested in checking out Rudys Jazz Room or The Station Inn located in the Gulch.
Right in downtown and full of music history. If you have the time, we also recommend doing the Historic Studio B tour - you'll get to visit the recording studio where Elvis recorded a number of his top hits!
Alexa's favorite stop on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail! Head to North Gulch for a whiskey tour to learn about one of Tennessee's oldest distilleries or just to grab some classic cocktails at their bar. (Tour reservations recommended)
Learn more about a Nashville icon and check out the movie "Walk the Line" before you go!
Looking for a good place to walk? Check out the mile loop around Nashville's Parthenon. Daisy also recommends this spot :)
6th & Peabody houses Old Smoky Moonshine Distillery and Yee Haw Brewing. A great place to check out live music, enjoy their outdoor patio, and do a moonshine tasting (no reservation required).
Duck-Pin Bowling & Arcade Games, plus an extensive bar. Also right next to PuttShack, a newer take on mini golf. In the Gulch neighborhood.
Indoor mini golf course located in the Gulch!
Daisy's favorite spot for a morning pup cup. Try the signature milk & honey latte and cinnamon roll while you're there!
Known for their famous Sweet Potato Pancakes (much better than they sound), lines get out of hand by ~9:30 am. Great to try if you're an early riser, otherwise be prepared for a wait that's worth it.
Light & fluffy donuts right on West End. Alexa & Justin's favorites are the French Toast and Blueberry!
Best hot chicken in Nashville! Or so we think... Fair warning, when they say "hot" they mean HOT!
Steps away from Alexa's apartment is the best BBQ in Nashville. Make sure to try the Mac and cheese! Closed on Sundays
Detroit style pizza and some mean burgers. The Colony and Big Ang are two of our go-to orders!
Alexa's namesake taco company, & one of our favorites. Fun fact, she got free queso on her first visit by mentioning that at that point in time she was, in fact, a redheaded stranger. Homemade tortillas & creative tacos - fun place to try in East Nashville.
Fun upscale diner with some unexpected twists on American classics. James Beard Award nominated Executive Chef.
Build your own cookie ice cream sandwich. Enough said? The perfect place to go when you want a sweet treat right in the heart of Midtown.
