We first met each other in Lincoln, NE as a part of a summer internship at the University of Nebraska. Despite having very different research interests, we loved being able to spend our days getting to know each other and make friends in the program. After the summer ended with Alexa heading back to Nashville and Corbin to Utah; we navigated the challenges of a long-distance relationship, visiting each other whenever we could and cherishing every moment together.

After a year of long distance, we both moved to Texas, where Corbin works full time and Alexa is pursuing her PhD. In our free time we enjoy playing video games and taking care of our puppy, Tron (full name Megatron—Corbin insisted), who loves joining us for walks. When we're not gaming or spending time with Tron, we enjoy hanging out with friends, making every gathering a memorable experience.
