Why Saint Augustine?

Saint Augustine is a wonderful historic city with much to offer. Alexa has made several trips here over the years, and it has quickly become one of her favorite historical locations. It is a beautiful and unique city that has so much to offer! We hope that whether you are a native Floridian or this is your first trip to the Sunshine State, you will take the time to explore, enjoy, and create your own memories in this beautiful place. While there are many different tours and offerings in the city, linked below are a couple of favorite locations from Alexa's visits to the city over the years!

In addition, here are some great sites to get some more information on things to do.

Old Town Trolley Tours St Augustine

167 San Marco Ave, St. Augustine, FL 32084, USA
(904) 829-3800

These trolley tours are a great way to get to know the city. While the traditional historical tour is great, and if you like a fright, Alexa highly recommends the Ghost and Gravestones Tour. Fun fact: these are the same trolleys available for guest transportation on the wedding day!

St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum

12 S Castillo Dr, St. Augustine, FL 32084, USA
(904) 819-1444

While there are many many museum offerings in St. Augustine, this one is a personal favorite. This museum is one of Alexa's all-time favorites, with immersive experiences and detailed exhibits suitable for all ages; this (for Alexa) is a must-see!

Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park

11 Magnolia Ave, St. Augustine, FL 32084, USA
(904) 829-3168

While, unfortunately, the fountain of youth does not actually function as a fountain of youth, this living archeological park is a wonderful step back in time to the history of Florida.

Historic Downtown St. Augustine

170 St George St, St. Augustine, FL 32084, USA

If museums and history are not your speed, a great way to spend the day in Saint Augustine is by walking the beautiful streets of the historic downtown and browsing the many local shops and eateries!

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument

11 S Castillo Dr, St. Augustine, FL 32084, USA
(904) 829-6506

The Castillo de San Marcos is an unmistakable icon of St. Augustine. It is the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States and is a beautiful piece of history (and a great spot to get some pictures!)
