Weekend Wedding Celebration

Margo and Alex will be staying at the Estancia Hotel in La Jolla for the weekend.

Weekend Schedule

Friday – Welcome Drinks

Kick off the celebrations with welcome drinks at the Estancia Hotel in La Jolla. We invite all guests to join us in the hotel bar and lobby to mingle, relax, and toast to the weekend ahead.

Time: 4:30 PM

Location: Estancia Hotel, La Jolla

Please note that after welcome drinks, guests will be free to enjoy dinner at their leisure, as the bride and groom will be attending their rehearsal dinner.

Saturday – The Wedding

Venue Information

Location: Birch Aquarium, 2300 Expedition Way, La Jolla, CA 92037

Date & Time: Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 6:00 PM

Attire & Wedding Colors

Dress Code: Cocktail attire or semi-formal.

Weather: The Birch Aquarium has both indoor and outdoor areas, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap for the evening.

Wedding Colors: Inspired by the beach—soft sandy hues with navy blue bridesmaid dresses and navy blue groomsmen attire.

Wedding Day Schedule

6:00 PM – Guest Arrival & Seating

6:15 PM – Ceremony (a no phone ceremony will begin!)

6:45 PM- Check out the penguins before they go to bed at 7pm!

7:00 PM – Cocktail Hour- It's time to grab a drink and a snack and take in the ocean views while exploring the aquarium exhibits, the aquarium is closed to the public at this time so enjoy the freedom to relax and look!

7:45 PM – Reception Dinner & Dancing- Enjoy delicious tacos by the beach and celebrate with us under the stars and fish.

10:45 PM the celebration will conclude at the aquarium- but the night doesn't have to end there!

11:00 PM After-Party in Encinitas - For those who want to keep the festivities going, join us for an after-party at the American Legion in Downtown Encinitas. A private venue is booked to keep the party going.

Transportation: Please arrange your own ride; Uber and Lyft are readily available.

Friendly Reminder: Free drinks will be provided at the wedding, and alcohol will continue to flow at the after-party—please drink responsibly and plan transportation accordingly.
