Of course!!! This wedding would be nothing without Lilly.
Do you have a hotel block?
Yes! Check out more about the hotel block on the Travel section.
What is Connecticut Casual?
You likely noticed the attire for Friday's Welcome Party is listed as Connecticut Casual. If you're a fan of The Office, you likely had a good laugh. If you're not and don't want to watch the episode for further explanation (Garden Party, season 8, episode 4), think garden party. For men, it should be along the lines of nice pants, nice shoes and a button down or nice polo. No ties are needed - think elevated casual. For women, think sun dress or something along the lines that will match the men's attire. P.S. This was Marc's idea.
Will transportation be provided to the venue?
YES! We want our guests to have a great time without worrying about how to get back into town after the party is over. Please note, Alex blew our budget so our shuttles will be school buses.
Shuttle schedules will be finalized closer to the wedding.
If I want to drive myself, is there somewhere to park?
Yes. Castle Hill Inn will be providing valet for any guests that would like to drive.
What should I wear to the wedding?
Our wedding is black tie optional. The ceremony will be outside and May can be a tricky time of the year when it comes to weather - especially being right on the water. Both the cocktail hour and reception are under tents but the cocktail hour tent will be open to the elements. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be on a lawn - please keep this in mind when making shoe selections.
What is an unplugged ceremony?
We kindly ask you to participate in being fully present by putting away all electronic devices including cell phones and cameras during our ceremony. We promise to share all of the photography captured by our amazing team!
What do I do if I have special dietary restrictions?
We will have a vegetarian option but if you have any other dietary restrictions, please let us know when RSVPing and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
The short answer is yes! However, we would appreciate you save any picture taking until after the ceremony is over. We will be having an unplugged ceremony as we want all of our family and friends to be present in this special moment. If you do post any pictures from the day, make sure to use #AlexHitTheMarc so we can see your wonderful pictures.
