Alex and I met through that romantic app called “tinder.” I was new to Gulfport and figured I’d try my luck and see what was out there. To my surprise, I saw a beautiful blonde with an amazing dog. With the swipe of a finger…we matched. And the very next day, we were on our first date. From dinner at Lucy's, to shutting down Boogie Nights at the Hard Rock Casino, I knew I had met someone special. The first date led to the second, and the third. After meeting families and sharing the holidays together, we went through our first deployment. Alex stuck by my side and supported me with every endeavor. I knew in my heart that this was the woman I was going to marry. She is kind, beautiful, and passionate with her work. She is someone that I knew I could grow with. She knows me more than I know myself, and I truly never thought I could love someone so much.

Logan’s Point of View

The best thing I ever did was "swipe right" on July 26, 2019!&nbsp;Logan and I met the way a lot of millennials in the 21st century do: on a dating app! Our first conversation centered around my dog, and I quickly caught on to the fact that Mika was most likely the reason he initially swiped right. I couldn’t blame him though, because she is one cute pup. He told me that if I let him meet her, he would treat me to dinner! Mika loves meeting new people and I love free food, so it was a no-brainer ;)&nbsp; Our first date was interesting, to say the least. He came to my house to pick me up. After a casual dinner and a few margaritas, I convinced him to go to Boogie Nights at the Hard Rock Casino. I was sure I scared him off with my weird dance moves, but the next day he asked me out on another date! A year goes by filled with lots of love, laughter, and puppy snuggles with our dog, Mika. Before we knew it, we were about to experience our first deployment. I think Logan was unsure if I would be able to handle it even though I reassured him I could. About a month into deployment, I think I finally convinced him that I wasn't going anywhere. Logan proposed on Easter Sunday at my grandmother's house in front of my family. Long story short, I found the golden egg with the most beautiful diamond ring inside! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the easiest decision I have ever made. I can't wait to marry this man. Logan challenges me to be a better person in every way. He is patient, selfless, and probably the funniest person I know. He is my best friend.

25 years ago, Kate invited me over to play dress-up, and ever since then, we have been best friends. She is one of the most talented people I know and the closest thing to a sister I have ever had. Our personalities couldn’t be any more different but I think that is what has kept our friendship going strong for so many years! I love her zest for life and am so grateful for our friendship.

This guy is literally my brother. If it wasn’t for him begging my parents for a sibling I wouldn’t be here. I’ve always looked up to Chase and I know he’d be there for me for anything.

Summer and I met when our high schools combined after Hurricane Katrina. We were both on the dance team and we became instant friends! Summer moved in with me one week before Covid hit. She probably knows Logan and I’s relationship better than anyone. Our doggies became best buddies too :) She has been such an amazing and supportive friend throughout our relationship and engagement. I am blessed to be her friend and I am so grateful to have her stand by us!

Coleton is my confidant. I know I can come to him for anything and he’ll guide me back to where I need to be. There is no one more kindhearted and full of wisdom and humor that you’ll ever meet.

Maggie and I met in middle school and she has put up with my crazy self ever since! She is a true friend who has stuck with me through some hard times and I am forever grateful for her. We may be opposites and live super busy lives but we can always pick up where we left off.  She is a supermom and an amazing friend. She inspires me to be better in every way!

A true wildcard in any situation. We’ve cried together, set outside and listened to music till the sun came up, and shared endless stories while passing around ‘Shine. Never air in the conversation with this one. Troy is one of the few that can turn a sad day around.

Ashley is my teacher bestie!!!! We started teaching at West together 7 years ago and we have been inseparable ever since. We share a love for students with disabilities. Ashley is a proud dog mom to two precious poodles. She is the person I confide in for everything. Ashley has always been an amazing and caring friend that I don't always deserve. She has gotten me through many tough days as a teacher and I can honestly say that I wouldn't be the person I am today without her.

The man that brought me to the world of golf and also showed me how much of a loser I am at ping pong. If selfless had a picture next to it in the dictionary you might see his face. He’s my Doc and no one will ever replace him. If you need an IV he might be the guy for you.

Bailey is probably the most thoughtful and selfless person I have ever known. She is also an AMAZING teacher to my students with learning disabilities who are included in her class. She has a HUGE heart and I am so grateful that teaching brought us together. Bailey is the type of friend that makes you want to be a better person. I may be older than her, but she has taught me so much.

Chris and I met in 5th grade. Ever since I’ve known him, I’ve never met a more competitive and driven person to date. He’s exceeded any and all expectations of him and I’m truly proud to say that he’s my friend.

Heather and I have also known each other since we were 4 years old and we have many memories together! So many moments of laughter, tears, love, and friendship. We may go long periods of time without talking, but when we catch up it feels like no time has passed. She has one of the biggest hearts and I am extremely grateful for our friendship. Heather has recently given birth to a PERFECT baby boy! I am so proud of the amazing person that she is and I am blessed to have her in my life!

Dakota and I have known each other since kindergarten. From wild nights on Cemetery RD when we were young to graduating high school and going to college together, I could always depend on Dakota to be the enforcer of the group. He’s always had my back.

Danielle and I have been friends since elementary school! In our adult lives, especially,  she has shown me what it truly means to be an incredible friend and support system. She constantly has me cracking up. She is an amazing listener and one of the easiest friends to talk to. Danielle has made me feel so special during this exciting time and I will be forever grateful to her!!

I never knew I could be friends with an Ole Miss fan, but many nights out in Israel with nothing but gas station “fuel” and some Sturgill Simpson brought us together. His unrelenting work ethic and leadership abilities are things I’ve always admired. He’s a true class-act.

I have and will always be forever grateful that God put Kelsie in my life! We met in college in one of our Elementary Ed classes and we quickly realized how we shared so many of the same passions. She is my adventure partner and when we are together there is NEVER a dull moment! Kelsie lives a few hours away but every time we catch up, we pick up right where we left off.

33 days locked down together between Spain and Israel brought Vic and I together. He’s taught me so many things during my career and he strives for success in everyone around him. He’s my friend, Barber, and most of all, my mentor.
