Our Story

My sister worked with Fady for many years and set us up together in January 2021, noting that we shared a similar quirkiness and our love story grew from there! We began talking over Facebook messenger about ourselves, careers, aspirations, goals and family, and shared a few jokes and laughs, building great rapport with one another. We met for our first date at Green Cup Cafe in Fort Myers. Fady knew that I worked at Edison and Ford Winter Estates and had a passion for history, so he created an Edison and Ford-themed quiz for us to do together during the date and that got me sharing all the history and love for what I do, which really broke the ice. Fady's thoughtfulness, care and creativity in coming up with a fun first date activity really stood as something very unique and special. As we continued talking further about how we grew up and our families, it felt like we had known each other for years and there was an immediate spark. We continued texting and calling each other every day when we could not see other and continued to go on amazing dates, from nice evenings to beautiful moments spent at the beach, where we really opened up our hearts to one another. We developed an incredible connection that we had both not felt before and it was like we had found the other half that we had been searching for to spend our life with. We both truly admire traditional values and leading a life in God's path. We continued to share so many experiences from traveling together, engaging in so many wonderful occasions with family and friends, and lots of activities where we could dig deep and discover so much about each other. One of Fady and I's biggest values is our Christian faith and he brought me into the Coptic Orthodox Church, which has such a positive impact on who we are, guides us in our lives and reaffirms our values each day. In October of 2023, Fady mentioned to me that we wanted to repeat the amazing beach date that we had at the beginning of our relationship. Due to logistics and feasibility, we decided to meet at Lakes Park, and little did I know that date would change our lives forever. We rented bikes, riding along through the park and laughing with one another. After we dropped off the bikes, we continued walking and stopped in grassy cove area and Fady told me to close my eyes. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, and of course, I said yes.

We continue to grow each day, supporting eachother in our moments of strength and weakness. We are so blessed to continue along God's path as one in November and look forward to celebrating with you!
