Thomas and Alexandria met online in a writing forum back in 2013. Both of them were fairly busy with their own lives, so the interactions they had initially were sporadic, but whenever they were able to log on, there was usually a message waiting from the other one. Their friendship took off as they found middle ground in the things that they enjoyed such as history, law, and of course, reading and writing.

Around 2016, they started to use email in order to communicate and they started swapping emails back and forth. From there, their friendship blossomed as they grew closer to each other and shared their hopes and dreams with each other. They saw each other through school, degree changes, career changes, and notable incidents like Thomas taking the bar exam and Alexandria starting her job at Northumberland County Jail. Through it all, they kept in touch and kept talking more and more often, until they were talking every day.

It was clear that there was a connection, one that transcended history and the works of fiction that they so loved...

Initially, Thomas and Alexandria wanted to meet in 2020, having decided that it was time to see if this connection that they've had for years was just online personas or if they had an actual, genuine connection. However, the COVID-19 pandemic robbed them of that chance for 2020. For their safety and the safety of their families, they waited. In 2021, they finally got their chance to meet in person.

In March of 2021, Thomas and Alexandria met for the very first time and it was clear to them that it was an instant connection. The first time they met, Thomas and Alexandria went to MoMA in New York City, so that Alexandria could see her favorite painting, Starry Night. Their first official date was to Cheesecake Factory and Barnes and Noble, and they started to get closer and closer. By December, it was clear to them that they were going to be hearing wedding bells, especially after Thomas introduced Alexandria to his parents.

In January, they started discussing engagement rings together, as Thomas wanted Alexandria's input on what ring she would be wearing on her finger that proclaims her as his. They discussed every aspect of the ring together and meanwhile, they also discussed the appropriate times to propose and Thomas hatched his plan.

Thomas proposed to Alexandria on June 1, 2022 at the Witch Pix Studios in Salem, Massachusetts. He had called ahead and arranged for the photos to be taken during the scheduled shoot that they had decided to do together. He had it all planned out. Even though Alexandria knew that they were going to be engaged during their week away, she was still surprised when Thomas got down on one knee during the shoot. She didn't even let him finish proposing before she was telling him "yes", that she'll become his fiancée and eventually, his wife.

Thomas and Alexandria have discussed their futures together at length. Alexandria has moved to New Jersey, and it is their goal that in Fall of 2025, Alexandria will be enrolled to get her Master's in Library Science, specializing in archiving and preservation. They have talked about everything from potential children, future traveling, and so much more, and when the two of them think about it, both of them are excited to see what the future holds for the two of them.
