Our journey began at Achievement First Apollo Middle School, where we navigated lesson plans and hallways together. But it was at the 2017 annual Thanksgiving Sock &amp; Sip that everything shifted. That night, Evan told a story that made Alex stop in her tracks and think, This guy is something special. And just like that, it was “flight attendants, prepare the cabin for takeoff.” A few weeks later, a dear friend (and a little rhythm) brought us together again—this time on the dance floor at The Counting Room (RIP). Between twirls, laughter, and one perfectly timed first kiss, we knew we were heading somewhere special. Soon after, Evan suggested a detour—a weekend trip to Philadelphia. Two hours of music, effortless conversation, and nonstop laughter on the drive back to Brooklyn confirmed what we were already feeling: we weren’t just traveling together, we were going places. Since then, our love story has been stamped with adventure. From spontaneous road trips to cross-continental flights, we’ve built a life on exploration, curiosity, and humor—because when you’re willing to get lost, laugh at the unexpected, and embrace the occasional travel disaster (don’t even get us started on stingrays), the journey is always worth it. Whether it’s hopping on a last-minute plane to explore a new city, road-tripping across the country to see our loved ones, or even bringing our two guinea pigs, Kiki and Lulu, along for the ride (who, if we’re being honest, were not fully briefed on their unexpected foray into travel life), adventure has become a way of life for us. Then came August 21st, 2024—a destination neither of us had been to before. After six years of love, laughter, and a running catalog of inside jokes, Evan surprised Alex with a proposal that was nothing short of magical—literally. With a deck of cards, a little sleight of hand, and one final unforgettable reveal, he turned a simple trick into the beginning of our greatest journey yet. In true Turbo Time fashion, he went all in—no hesitation, full commitment, and just the right amount of chaos. Now, as we prepare for our next great adventure, we’re beyond excited to celebrate our love, our people, and the road ahead—all in one place. So, here’s to new destinations, endless laughter, and a lifetime of stories worth telling—with all of you along for the ride. Buckle up—this journey is just getting started!
