Some of you may know that Lexington is famous for its BBQ, hosting the annual Barbecue Festival in October each year and bosting several restaurants, each with their own spin on Lexington style BBQ. Every Lexington native will have strong opinions about the BBQ in town, but here are our favorites.
The BBQ Center is the oldest spot in Lexington that still cooks on pits, and you can taste the difference!
Their chopped plates and sandwiches are the best! Plus some hushpuppies, a Cheerwine, and their world-renowned Banana Splits!
Affectionately referred to by locals as Honeymonk, this Lexington BBQ restaurant has been serving authentic Western-style Carolina pork BBQ since 1962.
We like their chopped BBQ plate (dark meat of course) with a Cheerwine!

Try out all-organic hard cider at Bull City. Walking distance from downtown Lexington, Bull City and Goose & Monkey are side by side in the old Lexington furniture factory district.

Visit the art gallery of a famous Lexington painter, Bob Timberlake, known for his landscapes and snowy farm scenes.

In downtown Welcome, near Center Church where the wedding ceremony will take place, is the RCR Museum and Gift Shop. If you're a NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan, we recommend this stop!

For a nice hike or a picnic, visit this 100-acre park in Western Davidson County, about a 20-minte drive from the hotel. They also have an 18-hole Disc Golf course with discs for rent from park staff.

There are many access points to High Rock Lake, but depending on what you want to do, look into Boat rentals, kayak and SUP rentals, designated swimming areas, and other activities.
