Like all great love stories, ours began… in a classroom. Nothing says romance quite like lesson plans, cafeteria duty, and trying to keep a straight face when a kid says something absolutely unhinged. We started as two teachers just trying to survive the school year, bonding over the chaos of education, shared snacks, and side-eyeing each other during staff meetings. But somewhere between grading papers and dodging glitter explosions, we realized we had something special.From there, things escalated quickly: late-night TV binges where we “promise we’ll go to bed after this episode” (we never do), spontaneous Barnes &amp; Noble trips that somehow last three hours, and a Lego collection that could rival a small toy store.Through it all, we’ve been each other’s best friend, biggest hype woman, and the only person willing to listen to the same funny story for the tenth time. Now, we’re making it official, and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you. So, get ready for a wedding filled with love, laughter, and maybe even an over-the-top dance move or two (no promises, though).

Our Story

Katy and I became instant friends when we were college roommates, and she has been like a sister to me ever since. From those late-night study sessions that turned into deep talks about life to cooking chili in our dorm kitchen, we’ve shared so many memories. Our monthly Chili’s triple-dipper nights are a tradition—complete with silly drinks, endless appetizers, and the best conversations. We’d spend Thursday nights screaming at the TV during Scandal and have heated debates over our mutual hatred of Laurel from How to Get Away with Murder. Fast forward to today, and we’re now planning baby names and sending a billion IG DMs back and forth about everything and anything. Through all the chaos, she’s been my constant—celebrating life’s biggest milestones, offering her support when I needed it most, and showing up for me in every way possible. Her kindness, loyalty, and genuine heart are unmatched, and I couldn’t imagine this day without her by my side.

Maya! The sister I never asked for but God always knew I needed. Funny right since she’s the older sister?! Maya has been my rock and biggest cheerleader since the very beginning (of us getting along). From sisterly advice to making me an official Yaya and always being there for life’s special moments, she’s been a constant in my life. Now her “extra child” as she calls me is so excited to return the favor and have her by my side on my big day. God blessed me when he gave me a sister who can equally get on my nerves as I do hers, but always love and support me in whatever I do. Her love, wisdom, and unwavering support me mean everything to me.

Maya Parsons

Elexis and I technically met in college, but our friendship really took off when we ended up teaching in side-by-side kindergarten classrooms—sharing lesson plans, snack stashes, and “Can you believe this?” moments. She’s been my ride-or-die through life’s highs, lows, and “girl, what just happened?”moments. We can spend hours on the phone dissecting celebrity drama like it’s our full-time job, and nothing hits better than a fun drink at each other’s houses while screaming and laughing at old sitcoms like we wrote the jokes. Her heart is as big as her love for the kids, and I couldn’t imagine my big day without my partner in fun, laughter, and good-natured banter by my side!

Elexis Mann

Ayanna or “Yanna Boo” as I love to call her is Kiana's maid of honor. I couldn’t be more grateful to have her by my side.  From spending countless hours at praise dance rehearsal, helping each other apply to academic scholarships, navigating college life to adjusting to adulthood, Yanna Boo has always been there. My loving sister has been through so much but always finds time to be the best friend anyone could ask for. Through all the ups and downs, she’s shown me what true friendship and loyalty looks like. I’m so thankful for her love, support, and for standing with me on this special day.

Ayanna Harris

Tiara has been my best friend since 3rd grade, and our bond is truly one of a kind. We grew together from girlhood surviving NJAS, constant weekend basketball tournaments with the DM Panthers and experimenting with recipes in the kitchen and naturally became each other’s voice of reason in this thing called adulting, supporting one another through every milestone. She has always been there for me. She’s a friend full of love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty, and I’m so grateful to have her by my side. Tiara has always been more than a friend—she’s my sister. (People actually ask us if we’re sisters when we’re out, lol.) Her presence makes this day even more special, and I’m so excited to celebrate with her.
