Alexis and Logan met in 2015 through a mutual friend. Alexis was disgusted by Logan's attempt to cook frog legs on the stove. If it wasn't for quick action of opening windows and doors, the smoke alarm would have gone off. Needless to say, it was a memorable first impression. As friends, Alexis and Logan crossed something off their bucket list and went parasailing in Traverse City, Michigan. Logan deems this as their "first unofficial date" (though Alexis was in a relationship at the time).

Alexis took a trip of a lifetime to Big Island for a best friends trip with her beloved "wifey", Lauren. Leading up to the trip, Logan helped Alexis build an itinerary. Once the girls arrived, he surprised them at the airport with leis and a welcome package. He took them on various adventures, including hiking Pololu Valley and snorkeling with Manta Rays. This is where Logan began planting the seed...

The night before Alexis and Lauren were set to head back to Michigan, Logan expressed his strong feelings for Alexis in this very location (soon after throwing her in the pool with her dress on). This completely took Alexis by surprise and started quite the conflict in her head about the future.

With it all on the line, Logan booked a trip to Michigan in an attempt to secure the relationship. During this time, Logan officially asked Alexis to be his girlfriend. They began developing a plan on how to make their long distance relationship work.

Alexis flew back to Hawaii to ring in the New Year with Logan. Lots of time was spent at the beach during this trip to warm Alexis up from the cold Michigan winter.

Their next trip brought Alexis and Logan to San Francisco, California. Here, they explored the Golden Gate Bridge, the "Full House" house, Muir Woods, and went to a Golden State Warriors Basketball Game to see Logan's celebrity twin, Steph Curry, play (he was unfortunately out due to an injury).

Logan made his way back to Michigan to cheer Alexis on as she ran in her first (and only) ever 5K. Within this trip, they attended a Stand-Up Comedy Show at Laugh Fest in Grand Rapids. Logan also met several of Alexis' coworkers from Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital over cocktails.

Alexis visited Hawaii for her third trip, where Logan continued to take her on adventures including hiking "White Road". Alexis continued to fall more in love with Hawaii (and Logan) each trip.

Alexis began sharing her love for National Parks with Logan as they booked their next trip to Washington. They stayed in a tiny home in Olympia. They explored downtown Seattle and spent several days at Olympic National Park, exploring from the coastline to Lake Crescent to the HOH Forest. They took on Mt. Storm King together, hiking an elevation change of over 4,500ft within a 2 mile stretch.

Logan returned to Michigan to support Alexis as she checked paddling in the Spike's Canoe Challenge (a 26-mile canoe race on the AuSable River) off her bucket list.

Logan visited Alexis in Michigan to celebrate her 29th birthday on Mackinac Island. Logan spent four summers between 2014-2018 driving horse drawn carriages on Mackinac Island.

Alexis and Logan vacationed together in South Lake Tahoe and spent a night in Yosemite National Park (they may have snuck into an employee parking lot to sleep in their vehicle due to poor planning.. shh!) to celebrate Logan's 30th birthday.

On this day, Alexis moved over 4,300 miles from Michigan to Hawaii so they could begin their lives together. She condensed all her belongings into two checked bags and a carry on, not exactly sure what the future would hold.

They spent the first month in Hawaii exploring the island before Alexis started her new job at Hawaiian Rehabilitation Services.

Logan completely surprised Alexis by proposing at a beautiful overlook in Waimea on Big Island. He secretly captured the entire proposal on video.
