Our Wedding

It was love at first sight, at least this is what Zach shared…! &nbsp;&nbsp;We invite you to pour a glass of your favorite wine, unwind, and enjoy reading this version of our love story in the making! &nbsp;&nbsp;We met through a mutual friend. I had asked our friend if she thought Zach was good looking and she said “Yeah, he’s alright.” After such a “glowing” endorsement, Zach and I decided to at least give it a whirl and go on a first date - and the rest of our story was history and it goes something like this…! ﻿Zach picked me up for our first date and we headed to Atria’s in Morgantown, West Virginia on a Wednesday night. Well, it was not a typical date night in a college town.Nevertheless, the evening was young and we hit it off with endless conversation. There was never an awkward moment. Zach’s witty sense of humor made me laugh from the start. Our first date was a glowing success. From this point forward, we began spending countless hours together getting to know one another. &nbsp;&nbsp;Shortly thereafter, Zach went home from Law School for Spring Break and I realized I was actually really going to miss him.&nbsp;We were growing quite fond of each other and this is the beginning of our beautiful and romantic love at first sight story. We have been together ever since and our relationship is one to be cherished. &nbsp;Reminiscing about our first date, I instantly knew Lexie was the one, “I know love at first sight is cliché, but when I picked her up for our first date. I knew she definitely was the one.”&nbsp;There was something truly special about her and I genuinely knew shortly thereafter I wanted to spend all my time with Lexie and for the record the rest of my life. &nbsp;Lexie is the kindest and gentlest soul that I have ever met. She truly does not have a bad bone in her body. I was drawn to this from the moment I met her, and although there are many things that I love about her, I love the way that just spending time with her and being around her makes me feel so full of joy and happiness. She has genuinely made me a better person in so many ways. Together our love has nolimits, we are truly designed to be together in marriage. &nbsp;I also instantly felt the same connection from our first date.&nbsp;We were enjoying many intellectual conversations the duration of our dinner, and especially each other's company. We didn't want our evening to end so quickly. At the end of a pleasant evening, I had invited Zach to join me for a glass of wine to continue our engaging conversation, which was so unlike me. I am glad I did, we have so much in common and we could have talked for hours. The evening was too short, and I also knew Zach was someone I wanted to get to know better over time.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Ever since our first date, the fun and adventure in our relationship hasn’t stopped. Whether it’s a cold beer and rollercoaster, hiking with our golden retriever, Cooper, watching Netflix, or all things Mountaineer sports, we can honestly share we have found our perfect companion to travel through life with.&nbsp; Our adventure has only begun, we mutually love to travel and we plan to go on many more excursions together. We are destined to live life to the fullest and especially grow deeper in love with one another while enjoying our journey as one! &nbsp;&nbsp;One of our first trips included a tour of Zach’s hometown.&nbsp;“I look back and smile on my first trip to Alexandria. Zach was so excited to show me his hometown and he made it like a date off the show The Bachelor. He had everything planned from breakfast to activities all day. I remember not wanting it to end or to leave. We had so much fun and could probably never recreate it because it was so natural and memorable. It always makes me happy when Zach goes out of his way to plan nice things for us to do together,” Zach is such a romantic at heart and he often expresses his admiration and respect for me. &nbsp;“We are just always on the same page. We are both a lot alike and have similar personalities and I think that’s how we click so well,”&nbsp;“He is easy going, funny, intelligent, handsome, respectful, trustworthy and loving. He is always down for an adventure (we both have a hard time doing nothing). I can honestly say that Zach is the love of my life and my best friend for eternity.” &nbsp;The Greenbrier was one of our first weekend getaway trips as a couple to celebrate Zach’s birthday. The Greenbrier is also one of our favorite resorts in West Virginia to visit.&nbsp;&nbsp;I have always had visions of getting married at the Greenbrier ever since I was a little girl. Zach completely understood why once we visited the Greenbrier together. We instantaneously fell in love with the breathtaking chapel and iconic decor and as a couple we can’t wait to say “I DO” at “America’s Resort”. &nbsp;We are looking forward to starting this new chapter in our life and creating many more memories together. We cannot wait to celebrate our special wedding day at the Greenbrier with our family and friends. &nbsp;We hope you have enjoyed our story as much as we have enjoyed sharing it. Our Story

Our engagement excursion was nothing short of being perfectly planned by Zachary.&nbsp;Although COVID really threw a wrench in his initial plans of proposing in Ireland, it didn’t stop him from planning the most romantic and memorable getaway for our special occasion.&nbsp; Zachary proposed on Cumberland Island.&nbsp;It was the picture-perfect day with clear blue skies and picturesque scenery.&nbsp;The proposal took place at a gorgeously unique spot with wild horses, beautiful trees, and spanish moss. &nbsp;Zachary even had a professional photographer to capture the milestone moment, which made it extra special.&nbsp;I will always cherish this day forever. We are better together.

Alyssa Lorenze

From the day I was born, Alyssa was forced to be my built in best friend for life. Alyssa wasn’t too thrilled about having a little sister initially. Her first babysitting duty led to a blood curdling scream and a hurt finger... “She bit me!” However, Alyssa quickly adapted to having a little sister and we have come a long way since then. She always has my back no matter the situation, she taught me how to be “cool” and gives the best advice. She is one of the hardest workers I know and succeeds at every task she undertakes. It’s not just the beauty with Alyssa, she has the brains to go with it! She made medical school look easy and has now accomplished her lifelong dream of becoming a Gastroenterologist. She is someone I admire, trust and can confide in. We are very much like oil and vinegar but adulthood has brought us a lot closer. You can find us traveling to local wineries, obsessing over our dogs and going on weekend trips together. I’m fortunate to have my sister stand by my side as my Maid of Honor. I love you Lys!

Kristen Myers

&nbsp;Kristen, better known as “Cuz” is like my second (really fun) older sister. As a teenager, I always begged to hang out with Cuz and Alyssa but was never allowed because of the age gap. She always included me no matter what and treated me like her little sister hence my nickname “LG or Little Girl”. Cuz is the life of the party and makes every situation a lot more enjoyable. She is always down for a good glass of wine with her cousins, pulling a prank and a good shopping spree with me as her salesperson. Thinking of my adulthood memories with her, I just smile and laugh. When Cuz enters the room be ready to feel that same way… her personality is contagious. Look out on October 30th because Cuz will be burning down the dance floor.&nbsp;

Christiana Beimel

Christiana is my little cousin but has always felt like my younger sister. As a little girl, she made her presence known by having such an infectious personality. We would travel on family trips to Disney World and Christiana would be dressed head to toe as a princess (wig and heels included). She would keep her outfit on the whole day no matter how hot it was outside. She had the best imagination and was so fun to babysit. As we got closer in age, we started going on frequent sushi dates, concerts in Pittsburgh and scheduling spinning classes together. Christiana is so talented and has a beautiful singing voice. I have watched her grow into such a beautiful adult and am blessed to have her as my little cousin! She has been such a supportive friend while planning a wedding and I am glad to have her by my side!&nbsp;&nbsp;

Meredith Murdock

Meredith and I met when we were three years old at a birthday party and never looked back...we clicked instantly. We have similar personalities and the same sense of humor which makes our friendship so easy. In our younger years, we were choreographing dances, matching in Limited Too outfits and finishing last in cross country because we walked and talked the whole time. I can truly say we have gone through every part of our lives together. We became post-college roommates which were some of the best years of my life. Meredith is a friend I can call on a whim for a fun and exciting adventure. We may plan a shopping excursion and end up unexpectedly in Pittsburgh at a museum. I love her spontaneity she always keeps our excursions adventurous. I am honored to be Meredith’s Maid of Honor in her upcoming wedding in August. A friendship like ours is very hard to find! From playing Barbie’s to planning weddings together I know we will be best friends until we are old and grey! &nbsp;

Mackenzie Hill

Mackenzie and I met in kindergarten and immediately became best friends. We were always carpooling to the dance studio. We found a niche for tap dancing and even did our first duet to the song “Friend Like Me” from the movie Aladdin. That’s exactly how I feel about Mackenzie because there isn’t a friend quite like her. Our friendship grew stronger in college we were sisters... sorority sisters that is. You can only imagine the fun times we had in college.&nbsp;I can always count on her at a moments notice even if it’s a last minute call to watch my dog, Cooper. Mackenzie and I even have brother and sister golden retrievers if that doesn’t tell you how close we are. The two of us enjoy hiking at Cooper’s Rock with them and celebrating Cinco De Doggo (the dog’s birthdays, which is on May 5th). We share countless memories together such as traveling to the beautiful Caribbean Islands, Key West and our most recent trip to Boston, which was an unforgettable trip. Mackenzie is a forever friend that I am so lucky to have. The wedding wouldn’t be complete without Mackenzie as my bridesmaid. Our friendship truly means the world to me!&nbsp;

Nicole Bashour

Nicole, also known as “Nic” has been a great friend of mine for the past 10 years. Nic and my sister have always been inseparable and it just made sense that we clicked. She is one of the kindest, most generous souls anyone could have the pleasure of meeting. I was always the tagalong but as we got older Nic and I formed our own relationship. She always knows the best spots in Pittsburgh and hanging out with her is always a good time. I’ve always admired her work ethic and accomplishments. Nic’s beauty does not only shine on the outside but within. I couldn’t think of a more loyal friend to be a part of my special day.&nbsp;

Griffin Warder

When Griffin was born, I asked my mother if we could send him back. I’m glad my mother denied my request, as Griffin became not only the best younger brother I could ever ask for, but also my best friend. That being said, our friendship didn’t happen over-night. I was the typical bully big brother in our younger years (I like to think I toughened him up, but I’m pretty sure I was just a jerk…). As we grew older, the trials and tribulations of life brought us closer together. Now I can’t imagine a life without my brother. I am 4 years his senior, and so I have had the opportunity to watch him grow, mature, and experience the world. He always conducts himself with a kind and thoughtful nature, constantly analyzing how his actions, words or inactions will affect the others around him. His selflessness and maturity never ceases to impress me. As Griffin grew older, he would sometimes reach out to his big brother for advice on important questions, like what kind of alcohol he should get for his date to the fraternity formal (you can never go wrong with Belvedere…). While I hope that my advice helped, I know that my words of wisdom pale in comparison to the effect his example has had on me and the person I have become. I love him with all my heart, and I’m honored to call him my Best Man. &nbsp;

Wesley Warder

Wesley, also known as “Big Wes,” was born on the day after Christmas. As result, he is the best Christmas present I’ve ever received beating out both a PlayStation and my Black Lab Jake. Big Wes is also my youngest brother and 8 years my junior. Due to the age difference, I had left home before he had reached Middle School. Then, when I returned home after graduating college, he had left to attend boarding school. Despite not having the opportunity to see Wesley grow up, I have great admiration for the man he has become. Much of this admiration is rooted in Wesley’s unwavering dedication to being himself. He truly marches to the beat of his own drum. He can also chug a beer faster than anyone in the Warder family, including me... So, while I have great admiration for the man he has become, I also have great respect. But what perhaps sets Wesley apart, is his introspective and thoughtful nature. He is deep thinker with a big heart. I love my little brother, and I can’t wait to have him standing by my side on my wedding day.&nbsp;

Jordan West

&nbsp;The first time I saw Jordan he was yelling at his friend who was helping him move a couch into the apartment that was directly across from mine. After he got the couch into his apartment, I introduced myself and we discovered that we were both going to be starting law school together as 1Ls. A few nights later, at around 1 a.m..., he knocked on my door and asked if he could crash at my place because he lost his keys and his phone was dead. He ate my microwave popcorn and slept on my couch, and we’ve been the best of friends ever since. If you’ve ever spent any time with Jordan, you know that he is the center of the attention wherever he goes. His unmatched sense of humor and positive energy lifts up everyone one around him. I’ve truly never met anyone quite like him, which is why I feel genuinely lucky to have met him and call him a best friend. Although I think that my grades may have been marginally better without him in my life (we skipped class a lot to golf or to just watch TV), I know that my life would feel much more empty without him in it. The joy and happiness you feel just by being around him is a gift that few can give. He’s one of a kind, and I am happy to call him a groomsman. &nbsp;

Michael "Mike" Koribanik

Mike and I met in Law School, where we shared many great memories and experiences both on High Street and in the classroom. During law school, Mike and I used to stay in Morgantown rather than go home for Thanksgiving. Every year we would go out in Morgantown the night before Thanksgiving on what was popularly referred to by the locals as “Townie Night.” However, rather than go to a bar full of Morgantown natives' home for Thanksgiving, Mike and I always ended up at some empty bar that was off the beaten path where we would proceed to drink, talk and laugh until the bar closed and it was time to get Jimmy Johns. I always looked forward to this night because I knew that I was going to hang out with Mike. He is always a great hang because he has an infectious personality and is truly the quintessential “good dude.” Mike is also the hardest and most focused worker I’ve ever met, and he’s parlayed this work ethic into a legal career in New Jersey. Now that he’s a big shot attorney in the Garden State, our Thanksgiving Eve tradition has sadly come to an end. Despite our lost tradition, Mike and I remain the best of friends. I can’t imagine exchanging vows without having Mike by my side as a groomsman. &nbsp;

Lapo Lazzati

In college, Lapo and I were inseparable. We went everywhere together, even the library (only the night before final exams). Due to our inability to be apart, he became like a brother to me. College was a lot of fun, and we might have had too much fun…but it was also a time where you learn who you are, what you believe in, and what you want to do with your life. Those are heavy concepts for someone to tackle all on their own. Lucky for me, I had Lapo. After a late night at the Pike house or in downtown Boston, we would often have few extra beers back at our apartment and talk about the bigger picture. Those conversations kept me focused and driven at a time when youthful arrogance can corrupt and knock you off your path. While Lapo may not want you to know it, he is one of the most loyal and dedicated people I’ve ever met. He applies this loyalty and dedication to every facet of his life whether it be his work or his friendships. Now, Lapo lives in Sao Paulo, Brazil and I don’t see him nearly as much as I’d like to, but his friendship still means the world to me. He’s the perfect groomsman, and I feel very privileged to have him by side on my wedding day. &nbsp;

Michael "Tino"  Martino 

Mike, better known as “Tino,” is almost as much myth as he is man, and I’m happy to say that we have shared a lot of great times and many great memories both in college and post-graduation. When I first met Tino he would go out in downtown Boston wearing grungy sweatpants and a hoodie, while everyone else would wear dress pants and collared shirts. I was jealous of his dedication to being comfortable, and asked him why he was wearing sweatpants? He simply responded by saying “Dude, I’ve got a girlfriend….who am I trying to impress?” A true legend in his own right who is always down for a good time, his reputation precedes him. I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t immediately drawn to his presence. He charms everyone he meets with his laid back and welcoming demeanor, and he has an almost instantaneous ability to make a stranger feel like a longtime friend.&nbsp;The people who really know Tino, know that he is always 100% genuine, and will do anything for his friends, even give them the shirt off his back. He’s one of the best guys you’ll ever meet, and I’m proud to have him as my groomsman.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Once a top secret U.S. government relocation facility for Congress, The Bunker is now open to anyone interested in reliving a legendary piece of The Greenbrier history. Bunker Tours provide a unique and in-depth look behind the hidden doors and let you explore an aspect of The Greenbrier that no other resort can claim! The Bunker was featured on The Today Show. It was also named one of the Top 100 Military Destinations in America for 2018. Tours are approximately 90 minutes in length and are available for guests 10 years of age and older.
