Guests are welcome to join all events! Welcome Event | September 29, 11 AM - 2PM | Ronda Beach Bar &amp; Restaurant (Elli Beach) 6 Kountourioti, Rhodes 851 00, Greece We will gather on the patio of Ronda, located on Elli Beach for light food and refreshments. We will have some beach chairs available so feel free to wear swimwear and enjoy the ocean with our bride and groom. Ronda is walking distance from Old Town and Mandraki Harbor, so we encourage you to explore before or after! Rehearsal Dinner | September 30, 6:30 PM - 10:30 PM | Tsampikos Kavourakia Restaurant Koskinou, Rhodes, 851 00, Greece Join us at Tsampikos for dinner and dancing at this seaside local family-owned restaurant. Please note the evening will be outside and suggested attire is dressy casual. Wedding Ceremony | October 1, 5:30 PM | Saint Sophia Chapel Esperia Weddings, Leof. Kallitheas, Faliraki, 851 00, Rhodes, Greece Saint Sophia is located in the private Esperia community, so outside transportation is not permitted through the security gate. Transportation will be provided to guests staying at Ammades and Lux-Me Dama Dama. Guests staying elsewhere will gather at the entrance of Esperia promptly at 5:00pm and take a shuttle to the chapel. Transportation from the ceremony to the reception will be provided. To help make the wedding week in Rhodes, Greece go as smoothly as possible, please provide us with your travel details. Rhodes is accessible via their International Airport (RHO). Flight time from Athens (ATH) is estimated at around 1 hour. The airport is located ~15 minutes away from Old Town. You can also reach Rhodes by ferry from Athens and other Greek islands, however this will take much longer. Many airline carriers have direct flights to Athens.&nbsp;Some international airlines also fly in and out of Rhodes.&nbsp;Two smaller airlines that have Rhodes flights are Aegean Airlines and Sky Express. Flight example below. Rhodes has many great areas to stay and many choices in types of stay. It matters not if you choose a big hotel/resort, a boutique hotel, or an airbnb. Staying in Old Town will allow you easy access to the wedding events and wonders of this ancient island. The wedding will be held in the Kallithea &amp; Faliraki area which contain fabulous beaches and has many stay options. Ialysos also has many great hotel options. Lindos has amazing sites to be seen, however it is about an hour drive from the other areas (we recommend that you see Lindos before or after wedding events). Please note that Rhodes has many beaches with beach clubs. So if you choose a location not on the ocean, you will have many options to enjoy the Mediterranean sea. The origins of Rhodes are steeped in ancient mythology. According to legend, Helios, the Sun God, asked Zeus to grant him the land that would rise from the sea. As Helios spoke, a breathtaking island emerged from the depths, blooming with vibrant flowers. This enchanting land became known as Rhodes. The island is also tied to a romantic tale of Helios and the nymph Rhodos, daughter of Poseidon, the God of the Sea. Helios was captivated by her beauty and made her his wife, forever linking her name to the island. Rhodes was home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—the Colossus of Rhodes. This magnificent statue, erected in 280 BC, stood as a symbol of the island’s glory. Rhodes is also special to the bride as it’s where her maternal family’s roots lie (Alexis' great-grandmother was named Tsambika).

A unique nature reserve found inland on the island. “Butterfly Valley” or in Greek “Petaloudes Valley” is a habitat with dense flora, natural beauty, paths, ponds, small waterfalls in a serene atmosphere. This spot is about 40 minutes from Old Town.
