Things to Do

Bahia Principe Resorts offers beautiful white sand beaches, gorgeous swimming pools, nightly entertainment, two golf courses, snorkeling and endless food and drink choices. The resort offers excursions at a cost for those who would like to venture outside of the resort. You can visit archaeological ruins in Tulum or Coba, sail beautiful waters on a catamaran, or tour the jungle on ATVs to name a few. As we get closer to our trip you can check out the available excursion options by using the “tours” tab located at the top of the resort webpage.

BAHIA PRINCIPE ACTIVITIES & INFO

· Download the Bahia Principe app – has helpful resources. Plus you can make reservations for the ala carte restaurants 10 days in advance of arriving.

· Do free bike ride tour of the properties in the first couple of days - good way to get to know the properties

· Walking eco tour – sign up at guest service. Starts behind Sian Ka’an property

· Pool at Tulum cooks outside each day for lunch around 12:30/1:00

POPULAR ACTIVITIES

You can take the Collectivo (little white minibuses) to many places. They drive along the main highway just outside the resort. Approx. 30-40 pesos per person each way for ride to nearby locations. Ask hotel desk for information. 

·        Tulum Ruins can visit on own without a tour for approx 157 pesos, or book through a tour guide for more.
·        Akumal beach bay day trip (Taxi: 5 min ride, Collectivo: 10 min ride, Walk: 1 ½ hr)
·        Golf: approx. $105 for 18 holes 7AM-2PM / $85 twilight-after 2PM, $30 Green fee 9 hole (exec course) + club and cart rental www.pgarivieramaya.com
·        Cenote (Aktun Chen Park) across the highway on the way to Sian Ka’an (walk along the highway towards Tulum, no more than 7-8 minutes – can’t miss the entrance). At entrance, guard will call for the transport to the jungle. Book online before you go as it’s a cheaper. https://www.aktun-chenpark.com/en?currency=USD
