Búzios is about a 2.5 hour drive from Rio's major airports. Yes! We'll be arranging transportation from Rio (airport or surrounding hotels) to Búzios, departing Thursday, June 6th, returning Sunday, June 9th. To help us coordinate transportation please let us know your expected arrival time, flight number and airport (RIO or SDU). Details to follow as we get closer.

"Ferradura Beach" area is the place to be in Buzios! Our venue has a sister location close by which is a great option (Ferradura Resort). Buzios is a small beach town so it doesn't have a lot of big hotels but there's plenty of beautiful rental options and "pousadas" (bed & breakfast). Absolutely! Our hope and wish with having a destination wedding is that everyone gets to enjoy a little Brazil vacation! We'll be heading back to Rio after the wedding and spending the week in Copacabana. We invite anyone who wants to experience Rio a bit more to stay a few extra days. Beach formal attire: think light, colorful, fabrics! Ladies, please keep in mind that the wedding will take place on a wooden deck so avoid thin heels and opt for block heels, wedges or flats instead. Gents: ties are optional (you're welcome, Nick)

Temperatures during the day will be in the mid/high 70's to low 80's. At night it typically drops to the 60's at this time of year but, please note that we'll be right on the coast so it can be bit breezy.
