Our wedding will take place in Búzios, a beach town located ~109 miles, or 2.5 hours, north of Rio city.

The best way to get to there is to fly to one of Rio de Janeiro's airports, then drive to Búzios.

Our goal is to make transportation for all our guests as smooth as possible. We'll be coordinating transportation from Rio to Búzios and back.

Important! As of April 2024, Brazil will start requiring travel e-visa's for all US and Canadian travelers.

Rio de Janeiro has 2 airports, both centrally located:

RIO Galeao: major airport, welcoming both international and domestic flights.

SDU Santos Dumont: smaller airport, welcoming domestic flights only.

Once in Brazil, Ubers are your best option of getting around!

Búzios also has plenty of "pousadas" (inns/b&b's) as well as AirB&B home options. Just make sure to look at places located in the "Ferradura" beach area to stay close to our venue.

Extending the trip to Rio/Copacabana (from Sunday, June 9th)

Following the wedding, we're heading back to Rio (Sunday, June 9th). For those who'd like to extend their trip and explore Rio a bit more with us, we have room block at our favorite hotel The Miramar by Windsor in Copacabana.
