Mike and Alisha met in medical school and bonded over their shared experience at&nbsp;the Psych Ward of the&nbsp;Indianapolis&nbsp;Roudebush VA (Mike took a creepy patient so Alisha wouldn't have to see them).&nbsp; Alisha asked Mike out 3 times, but Mike was always "busy" so she gave up. Weeks later Mike asked her out to dinner, and explained that yes,&nbsp;he was actually busy.&nbsp;&nbsp; They now&nbsp;live together in Indianapolis where&nbsp;Mike is finishing up his Anesthesia residency&nbsp; while&nbsp;Alisha has a few more years of Radiology training. They share a love for binge-watching Game of Thrones, board games, cooking,&nbsp; family&nbsp;and their dog Frankie. Mike proposed during a family trip to Zion National Park and got the response "You gotta be kidding me!"&nbsp;&nbsp;

Family is something&nbsp;Mike and Alisha hold dear and they can't imagine a better way to marry than before the people they hold most dear. We look forward to hosting you all in Ireland.

From Dublin

From Dublin on the M1

The M1 takes you north by the town of Drogheda before heading west. The trip takes 2 hours and 15 minutes. Sites along the way include the&nbsp;neolithic site of <a href="https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g804266-d777025-Reviews-Bru_na_Boinne-Donore_County_Meath.html" target="_blank">Newgrange</a>(Bru na Boinn)&nbsp;and the monastic settlement of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g186623-d266565-Reviews-Monasterboice_Monastic_Site-County_Louth.html" target="_blank">Monasterboice</a>.&nbsp;

From Dublin on the M3

The M3 is a straight shot northwest to Belle Isle. The trip takes 2 hours and can be broken by a stop at <a href="https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g644237-d525404-Reviews-Trim_Castle-Trim_County_Meath.html" target="_blank">Trim Castle</a>.&nbsp;

From Belfast

Belfast on the M1 and A4

This route takes 1.5 hours and sorry to say there doesn't seem to be&nbsp;much in the way of cool stops along the way.&nbsp;

Upper and Lower Lough Erne

A 17th century estate spanning 8 islands in the middle of Northern Ireland. It will be ours&nbsp;from Tuesday October 2nd - Friday October 5th. Rooms are provided and a few meals available.&nbsp;We invite and encourage you to spend time with us here the days&nbsp;leading up to the wedding to maximize the feeling of 'togetherness.'&nbsp;

Hiking and Walking Trails 

A Geopark including a series of <a href="https://www.marblearchcavesgeopark.com/" target="_blank">cave passages</a>. A tour of the caving system is available and&nbsp;includes a short decent &nbsp;with underground boating journey.&nbsp;

Marble Arch Caves

There are 11 golf courses near Belle Isle, most within one hour. The <a href="https://belle-isle.com/things-to-do-in-fermanagh/" target="_blank">estate can arrange</a> preferred tee times, and&nbsp;other benefits at some courses. Lough Erne Resort is one , Rory McIlroy is the resort’s touring professional.

<a href="http://www.belleekpottery.ie/Company-Info/Visitor-Centre/Opening-Hours" target="_blank">History porcelain factory</a> which began in 1884. Can tour around the factory and take a break for tea in the Tea Room.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.belleek.com/"></a>

Belleek Pottery 

A&nbsp;16th century castle which is now home to the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.enniskillencastle.co.uk/" target="_blank">Enniskillen Museum</a>.&nbsp; Exhibitions cover&nbsp;the county's traditional rural life, local crafts and the celebrated pottery at Belleek, history of its&nbsp;original use as a stronghold of the local Gaelic Maguire chieftains.

Enniskillen Castle

A&nbsp;<a href="https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/crom" target="_blank">nature reserve</a> located on the shores of the Upper Lough Erne with several&nbsp;trails, old castle ruins including the&nbsp;formal garden.

According to the Belle Isle website canoeing, kayaking, banana boating,&nbsp;&nbsp;clay pigeon shooting, archery,&nbsp; bicycle hire are all available activities though may require pre-booking. There are also many walking trails around the isle .
