We first met while in new-hire class at our first airline, PSA a.k.a American Eagle. Our infamous first interaction was in the laundry room of the Dayton, Ohio Residence Inn. Michael asked Ally to go to the Aviation Museum later that day but Ally said no because she already had plans to go with other classmates later in the week. She honestly just wanted the conversation to be over so Michael didn’t see her folding her underwear. The conversation ended up being so awkward neither of us thought the other never wanted to talk to the other again, but we still ended up eating breakfast together almost every morning during our stay at the hotel while we learned to fly regional jets. After training we lost touch for about a year but reconnected when Ally moved to Charlotte. We were friends for a while first and even went on vacation together (to Alaska! …thanks StClairs) before we started dating in November 2019. We both claim that we were the first one to like the other so the jury is still out on this debate! Michael proposed to Ally on their second trip to Alaska in August 2023 after our friend and personal helicopter pilot, Jesse, flew us to and landed on a glacier.
