Our Love Story

While we both started working at Amazon in early 2021, we didn't meet each other until August 2021 and didn't start chatting until after December. We started regularly communicating outside of work in August 2023. In September, Mitch and I made plans to hang out on my fall break in October (because that was the only time I was free) and go to lunch at Carnitas, however, two weeks before that my parents were out of town and I didn't have anything going on that weekend. Mitch swooped in with just a "hangout" to go see a movie, which then turned into mini golf and ice cream he wouldn't let me pay for.Since that "date", we have talked every single day.

How We Met + Our First "Date" 10.07.2023

I knew Alison loved the downtown area, so months before the big day, I searched until I found the perfect place to propose. As the date got closer, I discovered that Game 7 of the Thunder championship series was scheduled for the same night, as would be expected, an unexpected event had taken over my original proposal spot- Scissortail Park.While I was at work the day before, stressed and trying to figure out a new plan, my mom and sister came to the rescue by spending the day scouting different locations around downtown. The night before the proposal, I finally chose a new spot- at the Civic Center Lawn area- and decided to trust that everything would work out exactly as it was meant to.After Alison said yes, we celebrated the beginning of our forever by watching the Thunder win their first ever NBA championship together with our family and friends during the watch-party at The Jones Assembly- a night we truly will never forget.
