We met through a mutual friend that Rebecca went on a medical mission trip with and Allen met while attended a church leadership retreat. Our initial introduction in March of 2019 was short and sweet at this very friend’s house warming prayer night, but it was enough to pique Allen’s interest in pursuing Rebecca. We started out as friends, but as time went on, our friendship grew into something much more.

Allen and Rebecca share a love for concerts. Allen had tickets to see The Piano Guys on May 1, 2019, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to invite Rebecca. He prayed and asked God if this is the time to make a move in advancing their friendship. Little did they know, this would become their first date!

On November 1, 2020, we went for a walk around Cullen Sculpture Garden in the Museum of Fine Arts district, the location of an earlier date. It was here that Allen asked Rebecca to be his forever love with a beautifully constructed wooden display of meaningful photos.

We cannot wait to share our happy day with you on May 1, 2021 as we enter into a covenant with God in holy matrimony.
