It all started in February of 2022. Matt was on hinge. Allie was on hinge. Both had to sift through a lot of dislikes to find a match made in heaven. Matt was going on a trip to Atlantic City for a friend's birthday when he stumbled upon Allie's profile. Some might say it was love at first picture. Matt decided to steer away from "Hi, Hey, what's up, or you're hot" and started up the conversation with "You seem like a fun person to be around". From there, the two texted for days although Allie was unsure whether he was a catfish or not when he didn't immediately ask for her snapchat as most people do on hinge. Matt asked Allie for dinner and drinks a few days into texting and the two decided to go on their first date on February 24th, 2022. Allie asked Matt to pick her up which he was a little nervous about being that it was their first meet up. Allie's friends also said that picking her up probably wasn't the best idea, but she went through with it as he seemed to be a good guy. Matt showed up around 6:30 on 2/24/22 and got out to hug Allie and open the door for her. The two talked for hours at the Pearl River Saloon leading to Allie having her whole meal to eat the next day and a big smile on her face. Allie and Matt continued to talk in the car when he went to drop her back off before his long travel back home. Neither wanted the date to end, but Matt eventually drove home and the two continued to talk all day every day whether it was on FaceTime, on the phone, or through text. They also continued to see each other three to fours times a week eventually leading to the magic words "I love you" a month into dating.
