Ruthanne
Ruthanne - Bridesmaid
I am Allie's long time friend since she started babysitting me as a kid, but I remember Allie as the cool youth leader that everyone wanted to be around. Whether during summer camps at Hilltop, or general youth group events, Allie was always the first pick for being around even if we didn't need an adult. And there were many good reasons to choose Allie! At camp, she would read her dragon stories to us before we went to sleep. When I couldn't fall asleep, she stayed awake to guide me through a workout in the AM hours while trying to stay quiet enough to not wake anyone else up (we woke at least one person up). One of my favorite stories of Allie as a youth leader was during a fall camping trip. It was freezing, so Allie snuck in a heater for the girls tent. The next day, all the boys were complaining about it being so cold during the night, but us girls had been just fine thanks to Allie! I have so many more stories that I love about Allie, but I'd have to write a whole essay to share them all. A lot of my favorite memories from youth group have Allie in the center of them, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Anissa
Anissa - Bridesmaid
Hi, my name is Anissa. I am the most introverted cousin to the bride. I have known Allie since we were babies and her mom babysat my sister and myself. But then she moves so we grew up in different states, and I was always excited when I got to see her. We bonded over books and silly musicals. My favorite memory of us as kids is that one week over summer, we created a nonsense language and annoyed everyone around us, including my older sister and my mom. When Allie went home and told her mom about our new language she found it entertaining and now she joins in sometimes because, honestly we still use it on occasion when we want to chat but neither of us really has anything to say. There was also that time she stayed at my house over Christmas (2023) and hid over 50 sets of chopsticks around my house. I'm still finding them around or my cats are finding them for me!
Hope
Hope - Bridesmaid
Hello, I'm the favorite cousin. Although I like to think of Allie and I's relationship as more sisterly than anything. Granted, neither one of us knows what it's like to have a sister. That's something we've always had to ask others about when we got curious. Personally, I've always thought having a sister would be exhausting. Brothers don't steal your clothes and after a certain age they don't bother you in the bathroom, either. That said, the sister I call when I need to rant or spill dark secrets to, is Allie, and she uses me the same. What else are sisters for if not to rant to? And if you know Allie, then you know hers are long and as detailed as possible. I'm still trying to figure out if I got the short end of the stick on that one, considering you need an entire day off for one of her stories. So if Jason ever needs the skinny on his bride, he knows who to go to. Me, the favorite cousin.
Lanna
Lanna - Bridesmaid
I'm Allie's cousin and Anissa's older sister. I like playing Pokémon, watching Youtube videos, anime, and crafting. Growing up, I used to visit Allie at least once a year, and she would visit us for the holidays. Visiting Allie was an adventure in itself. One summer she decided that we'd set up and sleep in a tent in the backyard. She wanted to have her small TV inside with us, thus got a heavy-duty extension cord and plugged it in from the house. Unfortunately, it rained while we were asleep, and due to the cord being connected through the tent door, we woke to a flooded tent. We snuck into the house so we could go back to sleep in Allie's bedroom. Another summer, Allie broke her arm while we were trying to catch the neighbor's dog, who had gotten loose from his backyard. Allie had tripped over another neighbor's decorative fence. I ended up having to carry that chunky boy to his house while her mom took Allie to the ER. She is most definitely one of the more outgoing cousins (Hope is the other of us), adventurous, and silly.
Dan
Dan - Groomsman
I'm Dan Cartledge. I play music and am generally awesome. Too much Radiohead and other alternative rock music has molded me to be quite the sad boy, much to the groom's chagrin. I have known the groom longer than I've known my wife, and the bride tolerates me just fine. I think I'm a good addition to the groomsman team.
Albert
Albert - Groomsman
I'm Albert, one of Jason's brothers. I met Jason a few hours after I born. I decided soon after to be his biggest supporter and tallest brother. Since then he's been my friend, mentor, rival, therapist, and an amazing Mario to my Luigi.
Luke
Luke - Groomsman
Jason and I were first acquainted in the summer of 2015 during his band’s rehearsal at a friend’s house. I was immediately drawn to his black finger nail polish which he still rocks proudly today. With a shared interest in music, anime and being cold literally all the time, our friendship blossomed. I abide in Louisville where I foster a deep love for the outdoors, books and Jesus.
Nico
Nico - Groomsman
Hello all, I'm Nico: a musician, chef, non-profit worker, Pokemon trainer, and friend of the bride and groom. I met Jason through mutual friends and grew close to him by sharing a bedroom with him and playing in bands together. I met Allie through Jason's phone and over time became her good frenemy. God bless the lovely couple and God bless you (if you're reading this!)
Brian
Brian - Officiant
Hello everyone! I'm Brian (better known as Allie's spiritual guru since youth!). I've known Allie since she was a quiet, book-reading, story-writing phenomenon (all her life? 🤷‍♂️). I'm excited about this next great adventure in her life we call "maawige" (ode to The Princess Bride). When I'm not slinging Truth from the pulpit (🔥), you'll find me deep in books, watching movies of all kinds, traveling, lovin' my awesome honey (Becky) and cool kiddos (Noah & RuthAnne), or fixing my cravings for Culver's curds, concrete mixers & custards! I'm praying for Allie and Jason as they say, "I do" and do life together with Christ as their center!
Lindsey
Lindsey - Coordinator
Hello! My name is Lindsey! I am Allie's super cool sister-in-law. By day I am a multi-tasking ninja (aka kindergarten teacher) and on the side I enjoy coordinating weddings and telling people what to do. I met Allie when I started dating her brother in 2018. And I met Jason when he started dating Allie in 2023. My favorite memory with Allie involves abandoning her in the middle of Kings Island to sprint across the park to ride my favorite ride one more time. I wish the two of them a lifetime of happiness and love. Congratulations you guys! I will definitely cry at least three times!
