Our Wedding

James and Allison met through a mutual friend in the summer of 2019. After multiple missed dates- the two finally met and immediately became inseparable. On July 21st, 2019 James finally asked Allison to be his girlfriend and the rest is history! 

The Beginning

James proposed to Allison on May 3rd, 2025 at Eagle Cliff Overlook in Starved Rock State Park. He proposed with a custom ring that the two designed together 6 months before. It had been a long time coming, so it was an instantaneous yes by Allison. Both were so excited and celebrated with their favorite meal- steak dinner!

Our Story

Kaley and Allison have been best friends since elementary school, growing up side by side through every milestone, laugh, and late-night heart-to-heart. Their bond is more like sisters than friends, and there’s no one who knows the bride better. Kaley has been a constant source of love, laughter, and support—and it’s only fitting she stands beside her on this special day.

Jordon is a newer friend of the bride’s, but it didn’t take long for her to feel like family. As Triston’s wife, she and her marriage have been an inspiration to both the bride and groom, who truly look up to them as a couple. Jordon’s fun spirit and kind heart make her such a joy to be around, and Allison is so excited to have her as part of the wedding party.

Parris is James’ niece and someone who has always held a special place in both his and Allison’s lives. She and Allison share fun memories together, and Allison is looking forward to making many more in the years to come. Growing up alongside James meant plenty of laughs, adventures, and memories that will last a lifetime. Parris means the world to the couple, and having her as part of the wedding party is a true honor.

Lennon is the daughter of Tristion and Jordon, and she’s as sweet as she is shy. Once she warms up, though, her fun-loving spirit and boundless energy shine through. She brings so much joy to those around her, and the couple is so excited for her to play such a special role in their wedding day.

Drake has been James’ partner-in-crime since childhood. From questionable adventures to getting into just enough trouble to keep life interesting, these two have been through it all. Drake’s the guy who can make the groom laugh until it hurts—and also the guy who knows way too much that we hope he doesn’t share in his speech!

Triston isn’t just James’ cousin—he was also one of his biggest role models growing up. The two share plenty of mischievous memories from childhood, the kind that usually ended with a lot of laughs (and maybe a little trouble). Their bond has only grown stronger over the years, and there’s no one James would rather have sharing in the celebration.

Asa has been friends with both the bride and groom since childhood, and he’s always been the group’s lovable goofball. Known for his big heart and even bigger sense of humor, he can turn any moment into a laugh. Whether he’s cracking jokes or just being his teddy bear self, Asa brings a kind of fun that makes every memory better—so you can bet he’ll keep everyone smiling on the big day.

Damion is James’ nephew, but with them being so close in age, they grew up more like built-in best friends. While Damion may be on the quiet side, those who know him well see his sharp sense of humor and kind heart shine through. He’s been an important part of James’ life from the start—and let’s be honest, his calm and steady nature has probably balanced out more than a few of James’ mischievous moments along the way. The couple is so grateful to have him standing with them on their wedding day.

Guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from the venue. Please note: cabins on the property are available by invitation only.

Semi-Formal, Garden-Inspired

We kindly ask that guests follow a semi formal dress code. Think cheerful, garden-inspired colors, patterns, and fabrics—we can’t wait to see everyone looking their best! Feel free to look to Pinterest, TikTok, or your favorite social media for inspiration. Since our celebration will be held entirely outdoors, please keep comfort in mind when choosing your attire. One important note: please avoid wearing white or near-white attire, as those shades are reserved for the bride.

Dress Code

Where do I go and where can I park? 

Guests can park anywhere highlighted orange on the map above. There will be signs on the premise to help guiding where no parking is allowed. The ceremony will take place at Acorn Point, as indicated by #1 on the map above. Please arrive to the ceremony site no later than 3:15 pm. The reception will take place near the Rec Center, as indicated by #5 on the map above. The bride and groom request everyone be seated at the reception by 5:00pm in order to keep the night flowing smoothly. There will be directional signs to assist guests on premise.
